This site is in test mode, only a few postings I migrated from Blogger to WordPress has categories to be shown. The fact is, right now I’m running the pluging for the nth time and I get:

Success: 15

Failure: 505

The whole website I’m migrating has more than 18 000 postings. If I can’t get the featured image, I better stay in Blogger, there is no way to continue the migration, I just lost time and money.

ps.: I guess it has something to do with hotlinked images? I tried a plugin to make them local too, but no success…

さて、今回新たに管理しているサイトで、複数の画像をフィールド内に持っているカスタム投稿ページに対して一括ツールを実行したところ、「完了しました。失敗はありません。」と表示されるものの、実際にはアイキャッチ画像がつきません。

対象となる画像はサンプル URL のようなものです。

お手数ですが、実行されない原因について何か思い当たることがあれば教えていただけますでしょうか。

The plugin does not generate a post feature image if the hotlink protection option is enabled in cPanel. Is there any way to make the plugin work with cPanel hotlink protection enabled? Thank you.

既知の内容でしたら重複申し訳ありませんが、 プラグイン内 admin.php 内の

で、 class名から attachment_id を取得している部分があるかと思いますが、別サイト等からコピペやインポートで記事を取り込みなどで、記事内のHTMLの img の class名に wp-image-xxxx がある状態で、external image としてサムネールを設定したい場合、たまたま サイト内ですでにこの attachment_id で画像が存在しており、記事内にない画像がサムネールとして紐づけられてしまう事がありました。

この処理について、たとえばの案ですが、
if (strpos($url, get_home_url()) === 0) {
などで画像の url が同一ドメインの場合に限り HTMLから attachment_id の抽出を試みるといった形にするのはいかがでしょうか。

かなり特殊なケースかと思いますが、今後のアップデートの際などご検討いただけると幸いです。

Its driving me crazy. I love this plugin but I can’t work out why some images just won’t set.

7000件以上の投稿があるのですが、以前ついていたアイキャッチがサイト移転後にすべて消えてしまい、アイキャッチを一括で付けようとこちらのプラグインを使用しました。

作業自体はすべての投稿が成功し終了するのですが、結果１つもアイキャッチが付きません。

１つの投稿（https://lovemo.jp/96201）のみ、投稿の編集で付けてみましたが、問題ありませんでした。

どうしたらアイキャッチが付くのでしょうか？

I would like to add a feature: the possibility of uploading files to imgur and using them in the site library to add them to the article and add them to the favorite image of the article..
In other words, I prefer to use imgur as a cloud host for photos..

xo_featured_image_tools_image_urlを使って、外部URLを直接指定することで、アイキャッチ画像を設定したいと思っています。

set_featured_image関数のソースを拝見したところ、記事内にimgタグが無い場合はフックまで到達できないようなソースになっておりました。

matches[0]にテキトウな値を入れれば、フックまで到達し、希望の動きになることは確認しました。

本来の使い方とは異なるフックの使い方なのかもしれませんが、記事ごとに外部URLをプログラマブルに指定してアイキャッチ画像を設定したいと考えています。

set_featured_imageのpreg_matchの結果を上書きするようなフックを用意して頂くことは可能でしょうか？

I was wondering if you would consider an option to set the default image order. I have articles that contain images when posted. I used this plugin to set a featured image automatically. I recently had the need to set a default image in settings, but now that is always used. My goal would be a setting that allows to set the lookup order in such cases.

New option:

• Look for image in article
• If not found, use default image

Existing option:

• If no Image, use default image

Existing option: if no default image is set

• If image in article, use that else do nothing

ワードプレスを使用しているAサイトのRSSを、
別のワードプレスを使用しているBサイトに、
「FeedWordPress」プラグインで投稿記事を読み込んでいます。

アイキャッチは読み込まれないため、
こちらのプラグインを利用して設定したいと思っていますが設定されません。

処理は正常に終了しています。
画像は下記のようなhtmlになっています。srcのサイトはAサイトです。

記事をPostした後に手動ではアイキャッチ画像は作成されるのですが、プラグインによる自動生成では作成されない状態が続いてます。
また、自動生成で2600程の過去記事を処理させたのですが、処理は正常終了しましたがアイキャッチ画像は生成されませんでした。
ご教示頂ければ幸いです。

I have a couple of questions. I have two sites both with around 12,000 or so posts.

1. In all posts admin screen when I set the Featured Image query option to Not Set it shows I have 116 posts where it is not set. Is there a way to update just these posts rather than go through the whole 12,000?

2.In the other blog the Not Set query shows no posts without a featured image but when I look through them I see quite a number of posts with a blank featured image. When I open the posts the feature image says Set Featured Image so it clearly is not set. Any idea why this is reported zero Not Set?

Can you put a new option to assign feature image from a folder and if image selected as feature image, no duplicate the same image as feature image? Imagen i folder with 200 images, and function choose one and grab it as feature image

こちらの custom post に対しては、Advanced Custom Fields Pro の Gallery というカスタムフィールドを追加し、その中に画像を設定しています。投稿本文には画像を入れておりません。

After installing this plugin I got kicked out, I’ve no access anymore to the /wp-admin page. I’m still able to login but tells me I don’t have access to any settings pages. We have 2 admin names and both don’t have access.

ツールはエラーなく全件成功で完了しましたが、投稿記事を見ると１つも featured image がセットされていません。
なお、記事内画像は FTP 経由で /uploads にあげたものですが、すべでメディアライブラリに読み込んであります。

問題なく実施できるよう、サポートいただけると幸いです。

Recently I’ve tried your plugin XO Featured Image Tools and it works great!
Only one issue is that it generates small icons as featured images for some posts.
So I wanted to ask you if there is any thing I can do to check the image size before setting it as a featured image.
For instance, if the image size is smaller than 40*40 we can skip it to find the next one. ??

Hi, since I installed your plugin I get some problems, I think database problem.
The site cache is working correctly.
But I have locks on WordPress backend and frontend if logged in (no cache).
Has anyone had the same problem?
I have currently solved it by deactivating your plugin.

First, thanks for a great plugin! This really helped adding the featured images to my blogposts, after importing them from blogger and importing the images used in the posts as well.
There’s only one problem, some of the posts aren’t getting updated. Although they have an image within the blogpost, the plugin won’t set a featured image.
Have you got any idea what’s happening here?

Thanks for this plugin. I have a few questions before I install this plugin on the live site.

I have 100,000 Posts. Many of which are missing featured image. Can you tell me how much RAM will this plugin use?

Can I run some posts every hour? Using cron or something else? Because I am sure the server will crash if I run this on 100000 posts.

Do the feature images stay when the plugin is removed?

And Does it work fine with cache plugins?
