Howdy and greetings from Germany,
I have managed to create a FAQ-page with a DIVI-Template. It has some Categories and questions as well as answers. Can I install WPSSO together with the FAQ Manager and “apply” it to the existing FAQ-Page or do I have to make a complete new page AFTER installing WPSSO?
Thanks in advance for your help and many thanks for your work!
Best
Michi
]]>Dear WPSSO Team,
I’m wondering if you can help with my query. I run a website where the majority of content is user-generated content (similar to Quora, but not in a question-answer format). We review the content that is posted and ensure it is high quality, so we’re keen to have this content rank highly on Google.
The problem is we’re not too sure what schema is appropriate. The user-generated content aren’t articles or blog posts, but rather long-form comments. These long-form comments are response to a statement. So the closest comparison I can think of is like Reddit’s posts, and Quora’s answers. I’m going to install the WPSSO Schema JSON-LD Markup plugin, but any recommendation on the appropriate schema to choose would be appreciated.
Thanks!

]]>Hi JS, hope you’re well.
We’re gradually updating our schema site-wide to implement all the features of your Core and JSON-LD Markup premium plugins, and have come across an issue I can’t seem to solve.
Some of our articles (like the one below) have more than 1,000+ comments, usually questions from readers that I have answered. But when I run a rich results test, all of the data shown are the comments rather than the article copy/description/title/author, etc.
Is it possible to disable the comments from showing in the schema or otherwise prioritising the article content rather than the comments?
Many thanks,
stuart
]]>Hi there,
We produce curated aggregated ratings (based on up to 25 different sources), which are then expressed as a percentage rather than a star rating. Effectively, it’s a bit like Rotten Tomatoes for car reviews.
What I would like to be able to show in Google search results is something like this:
Rating: 41% based on 18 reviews
I currently have the free versions of SSO core and JSON-LD Markup, and I can see that I could probably express the score out of 100 with the premium add on, but I can’t see how I can show it as an aggregated score based on multiple reviews.
Is this posible with WPSSO and any necessary add-ons?
Many thanks,
stuart
]]>I may be missing something, but I cannot figure out how to add the rating value to a review.
So I have chosen the schema type “review” for a page. Then I see all the schema fields below. The “Review Rating” field is outlined with green, but I am unable to change the default 0.0 value.

]]>We recently installed some speed related plugins that among other things control the caching of posts and files. after getting it set up I saw the below WPSSO notice.
“Non-standard value found for the “plugin_cache_disable” option – resetting the option to its default value.”
Then I found some other message related to cache. see https://pasteboard.co/JI8rAIl.png
if SSO overrides my cache settings I may need to disable the plugin, if there is a way to disable that function from SSO please let me know.

]]>Ok, I messed up! There was an update for WPSSO Core and I accidentally navigated away from the plugin page during the update. Now the site is throwing the following error whenever WPSSO is activated:
ArgumentCountError thrown
Too few arguments to function saswp_output_compatibility::saswp_exclude_wpsso_schema_graph(), 3 passed in public_html/xxxxx/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 287 and exactly 5 expected
Thinking the files got corrupted, I downloaded the plugin and manually uploaded the entire plugin folder using SFTP, overwriting the existing files. The problem continued. Everything is back to normal if I deactivate it, the error is present when the plugin is active.
I then manually deleted the entire plugin folder (again via SFTP) and reinstalled it through the plugin interface in the WP admin. Still have the error.
Can you point me in the right direction to fix whatever I’ve mangled?
Thanks!

Hi,
An issue with finding how to add the itemReviewed in the schema.
If you check schema mark up of the page you’ll see the issue.
Note: I purchased the JSON-LD plugin yesterday, so it is premium.
Please let me know how to resolve this.
Thanks

Hello,
I am trying to create a FAQ page with FAQ schema markup.
I have installed to WPSSO core, the FAQ and the Schema JSON-LD Markup plugin.
I have created questions and answers with the FAQ plugin. Inserted into a page.
But with Google testing tool (https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool)
it does not show FAQ markup.
I am probably missing a step.
What am I doing worng?
THanks.

]]>We manually marked this page up with microdata to see if we could get a featured snippet in Google. We’re now trying to get started with the JSON-LD Markup plugin to add schema information for Google to FAQs and how-tos. I see in the how-to schema how to add the steps and other information directly into the plugin fields, but when I select webpage.faq there’s nowhere to put the questions. Do I have to make each question as a separate post with question schema and link them to a FAQ page with a shortcode from the free FAQ manager add-on? Thanks!

Hi,
I’ve set up WPSSO core and JSON LD markup with rating/review add-on but getting google console errors.
Case 1:
https://powerpl.us/product/car-heater-mug-with-car-usb-charger-500ml/
This product has a review, 5 star rating, SKU, Image and everything except
global identifiers (as they don’t apply to our products). See backend
screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ck6e452jye2qus/2019-12-01_16-12-58.png?dl=0
However google testing tool says this info is missing. You can see that
this product has a review and it is shown in the test results also, still
it says aggregate rating and review should be provided.
See results here:
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fpowerpl.us%2Fproduct%2Fcar-heater-mug-with-car-usb-charger-500ml%2F
Case 2:
https://powerpl.us/product/super-sweep-alarm-clock-with-light-up-numbers/
This product has everything the previous product has, except a review and
rating. Backend screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e3ksxlofs4m1331/2019-12-01_16-17-04.png?dl=0
Google testing tool gives more errors in this product.

My query here is, shouldn’t this setting provide a 5 star
rating to google: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r38nbcxsilsisau/Screenshot%202019-12-01%2016.18.24.jpg?dl=0
Please help in rectifying the errors of search console.

]]>Hi,
I installed the plugins: SSO core, schema markup and ratings/reviews, however search console still shows the error “Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified”
I have also installed a separate plugin to assign brands to products but SSO plugin doesn’t take this value a brand assigned to the product.
Kindly help in analyzing what is going wrong.
]]>Hi, I’m using WPSSO JSON Premium
I set the structured data “ItemList” for all my categories.
In the list of my items, only “itemListElement: type, ListItem, position, url” is specified.
Is it possible to set other structured data such as “name, author, more”?
How can I do it?
Thanks
I am trying to figure out how exactly to address these issues:
1.) A Schema “image” property could not be generated from this webpage content or its custom Document SSO (Social and Search Optimization) metabox settings. Google requires at least one “image” property for this Schema type.
Reference: adding schema json-ld markup for page ID 187 (Edit)
2.) SSO Notice Media Library image ID 28973 (Sold_jump1_schema) ignored — the resulting image of 1600×800 is too small for the required Schema Image (800×1600 cropped) image dimensions.
For 1.), is that the image specified in the Priority Media field for the page?
For 2.), it seems that the Schema image requirements are looking for tall, narrow images, aspect ratio of 1:2 – very many of the images on this site (as on most sites) are horizontal formats. I have the cropping box set in the SSO settings. Do I have to go back and create these weird tall, narrow images just for SEO?
This plugin apparently displays a WP username as part of the markup, like this:
{“@id”:”https://www.mywebsite.com/author/MyUsername/#id/person”,”@context”:”https://schema.org”,”@type”:”Person”,”name”:”SuperAdmin”},
For the user MyUsername, I have set the Public Name to SuperAdmin, which is just an alias, so no problem with that. But the “id” shows an actual WP username – big security issue! My security software is set to automatically lock out any username that is either invalid, or that attempts to login with bad passwords. So a hacker could grab that valid username, try to login with invalid passwords, and get locked out. And that would lockout a valid user!
I believe I need to set a filter to change the “@id” to something other than the actual username shown. I am not entirely sure how to do this, referring to the example in the docs for this plug. Can someone point me in the right direction?
The example for such a filter is here.
