This is a copy and paste of another plugin in the directory. It’s utter garbage and a waste of time.

Paid good money for this but every time we try and use it there’s some kind of error. Multiple emails to support have gone unanswered. I’m sure there’s better options out there than this.

Just could not get it to work!

This works perfectly for individual post/page synchronization. It’s not for entire website or database synchronization, but each serves a purpose.
Don’t understand why others complain. It’s possible that some people did not install this on both website to be synced. Need to enter the target site logon credentials on the origination site. Also, every time when you sync, you need to click on the “Push” button. Synchronization does not start automatically after publication. You will need to start it manually. Again, for individual post/page synchronization, this works fine. For automatic photosite synchronization, you will need something else.

Update:
I’m still having issue with images not being copied over to target between two sub sites under network sites. Images are either copied to the wrong directories or not at all. I’ve contacted tech support and they have not responded with a good answers in weeks. So I’m taken off one review star.

It’s nice to be able to sync content from staging site to production site. There are a couple things I’d like to see improvement on to complete the workflow.
For each post or page, you would need to be in edit mode and hit the Push button. What if you have 10 posts to sync? Opening each post and sync it 10 times is counter productive. I wish the user can simply do multi-select all relevant posts from the admin listing view and do a bulk sync action.
Secondly, there’s no way to sync images on pages or post except the feature image. You’d end up having to manually upload images to the target site. This is counter productive as well. I’ve already posted a feature request on this.
Thank you for listening.

I bought the ACF extension but there is nothing in the plugin for ACF. Tried talking to support but the response is very late and generic. Worst ever purchase.

This plugin came at the right time, I just restructured my website locally, cleaned up old data and deployed the new one, I mostly write post locally, so the problem I have was a way to automatically push changes to my live website, this plugin solved that.
Which means, I have a backup of all post locally, haha :p
Many thanks guys, so great.

Didn’t work on my local server running apache 2.4.
After a little (temporary) tweak, it kicked in and it seems to work fine now.
Waiting for the new release where this will be fixed.
Great support!

Seems I’m not able to push anything from my local server.
It does however accept the “target settings” once WpSiteSyn is installed on target site as well, so it appears that the link is set.
Also (and probably related)
The pages don’t show the image tab in settings on the local server
They do show on the remote server (@one.com)
The layout under the “Extensions” tab is not OK on the local server, but look fine on the remote.
Posted images your Github issues page

I’m not sure why this plugin doesn’t have more 5 star reviews.
I’ve received nothing but great support from the author and the plugin and extensions do exactly what it’s supposed to do.

When it works, it’s almost great. Images don’t copy over, that’s understandable but it isn’t mentioned before you purchase. I’m trying to migrate sites away from a multisite installation and being able to take individual pages or the whole site is attractive. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as expected most of the time. I don’t know if it’s an error from using a multisite but I frequently can’t utilize the plug-in because “Error authenticating user on Target: Unable to authenticate on Target site.” It’s a multisite, all the logins and password are the same. It seems like this will be great once it works consistently but, not being able to use it consistently for it’s intended purpose is a drag.

The synced images to the staging site are sometimes messed up, and almost always with truncated filenames. This alone renders the plugin as useless.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had the need to let clients make changes to pages that need to be approved before the changes can go live. In the past, that always meant having a staging site where they update the content and then duplicating the effort to update the content again on the live site. This is just begging for human error to get in the way. With SiteSync, the duplicate work is eliminated.
I love love love this plugin!

I’ve used this plugin since launch. Initially it had a few issues but those have been largely eliminated in subsequent updates. I produce all my content locally and, once set up correctly, a single click sends the page or post up to my server host.

Not that often do I come across a plugin which blows me away. WPSiteSync really did. I tested it and couldn’t believe how simple it was to use. It just worked and setup was a piece of cake. This is a gem.

Why “PDF Attachments” can not be achieved.
]]>Rating: 1 star
I’ve been trying to use this plugin package since July 2016. Having signed up for the VIP thing, I was kind of hoping that some of my support requests would have been answered.
However, that aside, the problem with this setup is that it is largely dependent on site owners deactivating security plugins to allow access – you might think that’s reasonable, but security is there for a reason!.
Even if you decide to identify and deactivate those watchful plugins (hardly a time saver) there are still countless problems getting the plugin to work.
And working from local to live is a nonsense as the so-called “pull” plugin can not pull content unless it already exists on the target site.
As mentioned above, the support is non-existent, and the documentation vague and about as constructive as the Daily Mail.
The internet if full of ways to waste time and money and this plugin successfully does both.

In file classes/apirequest.php
Line 710 better be:
'post_status' => 'inherit',
(following code will upload all related attachments to the new site however it’s NOT compatible with Attachments Plugin,and also has lots of bugs. So the following code is not recommended)
foreach ($post_children as $child_id => $child_post) {
$attach_id = $child_id;
if($attach_id != 0)
$this->send_media($child_post->guid, $post_id, $post_thumbnail_id, $attach_id);
}
And same file Line 716 -> Line 789 has a logic bug! what if the image is just an external link? and what if image is not added by Add Media then class attribute does not generate?
Actually Line 716 -> Line 789 can be removed if you DO NOT need upload files to new site.
Meanwhile, you should also remove line 330 in file classes/apicontroller.php
.
Then links(images) will become external links refered to the old site’s media library.

Agree with other review. Good idea, poor design/execution. Duplicate post ids, failures, etc.

This is a product that dreams are made of. Create the content on a stage server, then press a button to have it go live! Amazing! I have it installed on an intranet server that is very complicated (SSO with active directory, no TLD, Visual Composer), and so far it works like a charm. Support helped me get around a few issues, but well worth the effort.

I hate to give you guys a bad review, but I think you need it to get your act together with this plugin. Your documentation is abysmal, your premium support seems non-existent (I sent in a request with copious information weeks ago and haven’t heard a peep), and so far I have not been able to get the plugin to work at all after hours of troubleshooting and trying various reconfiguration.
The plugin has mainly just been a big waste of my time rather than a huge time saver which is why I bought into the premium offering. It’s totally possible it’s something on my end, but I need some help otherwise I’m left with this bad experience and hours and $$$ down the drain.

Ridiculously amazing. This is a much needed solution that solves several problems when moving content across sites, especially when importing tables isn’t an option. Thanks, guys!
