The plugin is great and allows us to support customers in a centralised way.
The author listens to user requests and obviously cares very much about the quality of his work.

I just wanted to say that this humble little plug-in got me through thick and thin until I finally got Atlassian JIRA setup for my company. I experienced a few issues with it and the developer resolved them in a timely manner.
This plug-in receives regular updates, which is refreshing, however it does leave a bit to be desired in terms of code stability. As a software engineer myself, I would strongly urge the developer to setup a release schedule and release once per week.
I am glad to see that he has added a ‘beta’ option which allows people to opt-in to the bleeding-edge code. In a production (business) environment, I wouldn’t recommend using the ‘beta’ option, unless you like an adventure. ??
Thank you for developing this awesome and free support plug-in! I am no longer going to use it because I have JIRA, but I am going to definitely throw you $20 for all of your hard work and dedication.

Hi,
I was really interested in purchasing this plugin. I was about to do it but then I ran into some issues.
Apparently, the plugin did not allow guests on my site to submit tickets even though I had set the property to true. I never received an email reply to my query about this issue.
But that was one issue then I noticed that the bbpress forums disappeared mysteriously from the dashboard. After disabling all the plugins, I found out it was this plugin that caused it.
Too many issues for me to rely on this plugin. I hope they keep working on it and make it better in the future.

IT works!
Installed V 4.9.12 and eMails are once again being sent from Registration.
I’ve given you a 5-star and am back to using the plugin since in 10 hours of looking at alternative plugins none did as well as your’s does to offer a simple support to the acciosonal requirement of a user to reach me who is not a member of my websites since they all use Simple-Press forums for registered members.

Very quick to configure and has a great feature set. Would be nice to have the ability to assign to a user email when the ticket is created by an admin. Custom fields are extremely flexible and easy to add, but if you want to edit a listbox you need to delete the entry and recreate it.
I’m quite impressed with this plugin, and fixing those two issues would easily get the full 5 stars.

Let me start off by saying I am an active plugin/theme developer. I am also heavily involved in the WordPress community.
I was working on a clients website when I noticed a very small issue with the loading of the styles from this plugin.
I contacted the developer; and they immediately responded. Within a few minutes, a solution had been met, and the plugin was updated. The issue was literally solved in only two hours.
This is exactly what I look for when supporting other community developers and their products.

It started out nice – simple setup with really nice features but with each subsequent update the plugin started getting buggier and buggier. Until finally the tickets stopped showing up in the open or closed ticket views after I responded to them – totally disappeared ‘poof’ gone! For the price of $20 I almost bought the Pro version so I could get decent support until I read some the reviews lamenting the fact that they had and with non existent support – I definitely will not upgrade but am searching for other options.

Oops I made the mistake of upgrading to Pro
For a plugin that is all about providing customer service, I am astounded by the lack of it from the developers.
Firstly there was silence for a day after payment – nothing, no download, no thanks, nothing.
It doesn’t stop there.. the only published option for options for contacting WPSC about an issue seems to be a $99 paid service which has a support interface which is more cumbersome than their support plugin – go figure!
I managed to grap an email address from the bottom of the upgrade when it arrived and tried mailing to that. More silence.
So what’s the issue with the Pro – couple of things:
1) the sales blurb talks about files (plural) upload but I can only see functionality for a single file upload
2) the file upload functionality does not seem to be working
I’ve done the decent thing and sent short video clips showing the problem but – Silence

Purchased the Pro upgrade expecting a link or whatever pretty quickly. Three chasing emails later only automated responses and no sign of my purchase.
Why would anyone use this company’s e-commerce solutions in their own business when the vendor gets it so egregiously wrong?
Hopeless. If only WordPress would make ‘no stars’ an option…

All I needed was a simple ticketing system that works! And this one does. Do not hesitate to try this plugin out.

Updated frequently, and that’s excellent. Had to modify it for some special fields I needed, and more or less, this was fairly easy to customize.
A big, BIG, minus is that they have changed the naming convention of functions and variables several times along the way. I can now spot four different names for these: wpsc_, wpscst_, wpsct_, wpst_ (you can spot all four on submit-ticket.php on the first 70 lines of code). I have absolutely no idea, which ones are typos and which are correct – and I actually think they themselves don’t know anymore. The code is a big mess and most of the bugs are related to this. This makes the manual update extremely time consuming. (On the plus-side they do fix these fairly quick whenever one is found – and if you haven’t modified the code, update as frequently as you can)
All in all – does what it’s supposed to – new functionalities added often enough.

This is one of the best plugins and has some advanced functions that a really great for customization.
With the high frequency of the updates, and the ease to communicate with the author about new features and other issues, this is really fun to work with!

Ensure that you set “Allow Guests” to “false” if you want it to work for guests because it is coded backwards. Other than that, this is a very basic but functional plugin that will give you a help ticket system. I’m going to add some additional functionality to mine – a required email field if the user is a guest should be mandatory, at the minimum. Good job!
