I saw this issue in the forum unanswered, and I have the same issues. I am a new member assigned to support the web site. The site have a few issues. 1. It hasn’t been updated for sometime (WP, Plugin, Themes). I was able to update the plugin but with WP, I will need to perform a backup of the db and files. I noticed the log show the automatic scheduled online backup has been failing for years. I want to update Elementor but it says it keeps failing as well. I have never managed a website before so I am doing the best I can but am currently at a standstill.

Hi,
I have a big problem trying to decrypt my backups. Everytime I receive the error message “The activity failed: The encryption details provided were incorrect.” However, I know 100% that the details are accurate. No doubt about it. I have the password in a protected text file, it has never been modified ! Is there any way to recover an already existing backup any other way than through the plugin interface on the website. Does it make any difference to change the encryption password on the site for already existing backups (I wouldn’t believe it does, but just checking…). Any other smart ideas ???
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

We are using this plugin on 30+ sites and are experiencing this issue with all of them. The plugin works great for several months and then for no apparent reason simply quits performing scheduled backups.
Manual backups still work, and if we fully delete and reinstall the plugin scheduled backups start to work again.
There are no errors or failed backups; the logs looks great up until the day the plugin stops performing the scheduled backup.
For each instance we are using the “Perform a full backup and email it to the specified address” option.
All the sites are on the same server that we maintain, so I won’t rule out a problem on our end. But if someone could shed some light on what might be happening that would be appreciated.

Hi.
I’ve tested over a dozen backup plugins and I’m sticking with yours because it WORKS. Its the only plugin to properly backup everything I want, including other non WP folders found in the root. Other plugins have this option but when you check the backup only WP files are there.
So thank-you I am sticking with you and rating you 5 stars. The only little option I would ask for is the ability to set the directory where local backups are stored, I would like to keep them in a backups folder in my root rather than buried in wp-content.
Thanks again!

Hi
I use Online Backup for 3 website
First : it’s a big web site with some articles and some pictures
Second and third it’s a brand new web site without any pictures and articles
For the 3 plug in, we can’t back up any web site. He stop to 1% for all web site.
A timeout occurred (large files and slow servers are a common cause of this); trying again…
I have try for local, online and by e-mail and I have same problem
Let me know
