Hi there!
We’re running a WordPress multisite with over 3500 sites and over 100 themes.
Server load is low, consistently under 1.0, plenty of RAM and CPU.
Enabling the plugin is no problem.
But after I enable it, going to the Themes page… it just spins and spins… and after a while – maybe a minute – my browser shows a server error 500 on a white screen. ??
The plugin DID work for a while when we had less sites – maybe back when there were only 1200 to 1800.
My question is this – could there be something in the code that would time out or really struggle for resources with a high number of sites – coupled with over 100 themes?
Maybe even something introduced in recent versions, say a year ago or so?
** having the exact same problem with the Plugin Stats plugin – it got slower and slower over time, now it doesn’t work at all anymore.
Both these plugins are super useful when managing a multisite, we’d love to get them working again. ??
Thanks!

]]>The problem is the same as with the WPMU Theme Info.
It seems that I get logged out when I get to the “Theme Usage Info” site.
1. Open: Network > Plugins > Theme Usage Info
2. Open any other site in the Network Control-Panel
-> redirect to the wp-login.php (logged out)

]]>After updating WP to 3.4 this plugin started to produce 500 errors when activating themes on sites.
We were able to replicate the error across different server environments, but not all. The trigger seems to be the amount of sites / themes active.
Our setup: WP Multi Site, 400+ subdirectory sites using 50+ themes.
Bug occurred on both big and small dedicated servers.
Bug did NOT occur on test server with 20+ sites.
The error leaves this comment: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 79 bytes) in /www/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1449, referer: XXXXXXXX/wp-admin/themes.php?s=qual&_ajax_fetch_list_nonce=24b2fce649&_wp_http_referer=%XXXXXXXXXX%2Fwp-admin%2Fthemes.php%3Fs%3Dqu%26_ajax_fetch_list_nonce%3D24b2fce649%26_wp_http_referer%3D%252FXXXXXXXX%252Fwp-admin%252Fthemes.php
Obviously it is a memory error but it does not seem right that this script uses 256 MB of RAM for one single operation…
(I have X’ed out some information in the string above).

]]>I’m not sure if it is a problem with some of my other plugins, but when ever I activate the plugin usage, or the theme usage plugin it takes down my whole network.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
As soon as I remove the files it all works again. I do have a plugin management plugin installed in /wp-content/plugins. Not sure.
Thoughts? What can I do to troubleshoot? I love your plugins.
