Just looking for some help, if anyone can. I am using the Avada theme and can’t seem to increase the text size on the movies. Anyone have any ideas on how to increase the text size. It seems that it is not related to the theme but some CSS in the plugin. Any help would be appreciated. I am being penalised by Google for having too small text on the movie pages. Thank you.

After movie import metadata imported as well but then I want to change the metadata in post but it is not working. OR can i add metadata manually? When I add metadata and publish post all metadata fields are cleared/empty.

I know the plugin is not updated anymore. I’m upgrading to PHP 8, and the backend stopped working. I found a few “Function create_function() is deprecated” messages caused by wpmoly-admin-menu.php. I would like to ask some other users who would like to continue using the plugin with PHP8. Have you found a solution to solve these problems?

This plugin is unfortunately not updated anymore, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to manually add “4K Ultra HD” to the built-in Movie Media taxonomies?

Other taxonomies within this category are: blu-ray, DVD, VHS, DivX, cinema, and “other”.

Currently, I list 4K Ultra HD under “other”. I have also created a custom taxonomy (using the custom post types plugin) for formats, but that’s just extra.

So I am looking for instructions on either how to:

1. Add “4K Ultra HD” to the Movie Media taxonomies.

OR

2. Replace the “DivX” taxonomy with “4K Ultra HD”.

I am really just looking for all the files I need to edit, which I have trouble finding. There is only 1 file that mentions “blu-ray”, “dvd”, “vhs”, “DivX”, etc., but when I edit this file, it only changes the name of “Divx” to “4K Ultra HD”. The links are not updated and I also don’t know where the Movie Media icons are stored.

All help is greatly appreciated!

This is BY FAR the best plugin for this type of content. Is there a way to use it to load series metadata like you do for movies?

Hello, first of all, thanks for the great plugin. Even after all these years and many WP updates, it works perfectly!
There is one small issue however, when we use the feature Import Movies, the posts are always imported with the Comments disabled, but when we use Add New, the posts are imported with the Comments enabled.
I would like to allow comments for all posts. Does anyone has the solution?

While trying to fix the invalid argument error near the bottom of the page, I’ve somehow broken the ratings display in all 3 locations on my movie detail pages. 2 locations to the right of the poster and 1 in the Headbox where stars are to be filled in according to the rating. I’ve reinstalled the WPMovieLibrary plugin with no effect. With more than 1600 movies I’d rather not wipe everything and start over unless there is a way to back up my movie list. Thanks for any help….

Hi Petr,

For now users can’t add/edit movies. Enhancing the permissions to allow users to interact with the plugin has been a long-planned feature that I still haven’t got any time to build properly. It’ll come, I just don’t know how soon ??

i downloaded plugin wpmovielibrary-3.0.0-beta from your site and then after install on my site and installed. after installed i found wpmovies library and then click but after click only show blanked page. movies, grids, actions, collection generes and setting all are tabs showing blank . why not showing anything on wpmovies library

how i import images manually ? yes, i know in edit movie>wordpress movie library> image section but when i click on load image there also i added image from computer but images not importing. why ?

Two separate issues I’m having:

1) when using a mobile device, the settings for the archive movie grid seem to go out the window, resulting in thumbnails that are squished and useless

2) the links to subsequent pages on the movie archive page all lead to a “page cannot be found” message

Appreciate any feedback on either of these issues!

Now the actual question:
Does someone know if there is a “tutorial”, Wiki, or anything that describes how to actually make use of the features of wpmoly? I consider the lack of it to be a major problem for many people who are Movie lovers (and herders) but are not highly skilled wordpress users – like me. ??

I know how to install the whole shebang and I can add my movies without any problems. But I have NO idea how to actually create a navigation strcuture on my pages or how to create a page layout that shows the desired data.
I could probably swap themes until I find something that comes close to what I want but that’s ridiculous. I want to know how to use it.

I would even be willing to start a tutorial or Wiki (although I am not sure whether it makes sense to do this for any pre-3.0 version) but anyway: I need a starting point to understand, for example, how to go from a blank page to, say, a movie grid with sidebar navigation for actors, genres, years, whatever… and to understand the “catalog” of features wpmoly offers and how/where I can use them in my pages.

Does someone here know a point to start from?
(Sorry if that is already mentioned somewhere. I promise to have digged through websites and forums but couldn’t find it…)

If these lines are simply cut, errors do not occur. And how to replace these functions with anonymous functions?

After installing WPMovieLibrary, it works, no problem. But, it crashes my current theme top menu ,my theme is NewsPaper 8.0. I would like to use both theme and pluggin together. Any suggestion to fix it ?

In the past i was using this plugin for a longer time.
As i had to reinstall my whole web due to some silly failures (well….it was me) i did not install this plugin again as i’m waiting for V3.

Will there be an upgarde path or makes it sense to wait the announced 75 days?

i get an error in firefox and chrome browsers: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 for wpmovielibrary.ttf and .woff

I client of mine used this plugin for a while prior to moving her site to us. She had since deleted the plugin and no longer did movie reviews…

Either way she recently wanted to clear up her “crawl errors” and so far Google Search Console has found 1000+ crawl errors which all appear related to this plugin. Where and how can I remove these? I have been redirecting them, but Google Shows no signs of slowing down with new crawl errors.
