Hi Pablo and all!
The plugin is awesome. I installed the plugin on multisites. But on one multisite with Budddy Press some small issue appears – after logging in a user see a bank screen with a word ‘maybe’ at the top left corner. After refreshing the page the website works fine. The errors when debug mode is on:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/accountname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpm-user-sync/core/wpmus-functions.php:105) in /home/accountname/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1427

Any ideas how to fix it?
Many thanks!
Hello!
I still need a solution for my project. I bought some themes from Envato. Each for a specific usage (one is a multivendor marketplace, the other is a community theme using buddypress, another is a learning platform – Masterstudy theme, etc). In total there are 7 sub-sites that I want to build.
My problem is that I want all the users to register in one place (on one sub-site), and after they login, I want them to be users of all of the websites within the network, without them having to login again.
I tried to find you, Pablo Ariel Di Loreto on Slack and everywhere but no results.
From the product’s description this seemed to be a great solution for my use case, but I see that the product wasn’t maintained in the last 2+ years and it’s not compatible with the latest wordpress version.
If there is somebody out there that uses this product, and have a few minutes to have a short chat on whatever platform, please give me a sign.
Thank you!
Hi Pablo,
I ran into the issue reported at https://github.com/pablodiloreto/wpm-user-sync/issues/9 and submitted a PR with the fix. As this is breaking a key feature of our site, I’ve had to disable your plugin until the PR can be merged. Hoping that can happen soon, all the best.
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well i need to discuss and issue and hope so you will give me a solution for it.
I have setup Multisite on server
Main site: [ URL below ]
sub-site: sub.[ URL below ]
I just installed your plugin but when i added a user on sub-site i can’ see it on the main site users list. Please give me a solution.
]]>Hello,
As far as I understand, in wp multisite environment, when a user registers, the credentials (username / password) are shared between all the sub-websites from the network. The only issue is that the user do not have a role assigned (default subscriber).
Do this plugin fixes this huge issue. That’s awesome!
My question is this: should I create a special “parent” sub-website like id.mysite.com and redirect all the buttons of the sub-websites (login / register) to that website so users will only register and login on that sub-website?
Is there a setting for a main website, a main node, where users will be handled and passed on to the other sub-websites?
Also, after a user logs in on a website (main website or sub-site) and then navigates to another one from the same network, are they already logged in or they need to log in every time they visit a new website from the network?
I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to have multisite or individual / separate installs on the same domain / same host. My themes have specific functionality (one is a community running buddypress, the other is a course platform, another is a multivendor woocommerce shop, etc…) ofc, each of them with their specific plugins and architecture.
Thank you!
]]>Hello Pablo Ariel Di Loreto
Wonderful plugin. It does what it claims to do.
Thank you.
I have a special requirement. Can you please help me on this?
When an additional role is added to a USER in a sub-site, is it possible to SYNC this in all the sites (main & subsites)?
(and to REMOVE these ADDITIONAL ROLES, when removed)
To expand on the above:
Many membership plugins like MemberPress, PMPro etc. only add ADDITIONAL ROLES when a subscription is purchased and remove that ADDITIONAL ROLE when the subscription ends.
They do NOT modify the PRIMARY ROLE of the user.
This leaves me with this problem:
When a user purchases a subscription, the ADDITIONAL ROLE added is not synchronized with all the sites.
I am willing to contribute USD 10 towards development of this functionality. May be many more users will have this issue and they may also join in contributing.
Thank you again for your wonderful plugin.
Regards,
S.Maheswaran`
Hi, i create new user on child-site, and why new-user on child-site not auto sync to parent site?
]]>Hello,
On my site there are users with different roles and additional roles. I use these to assign all kinds of functions to the users according to the role. I create users via Zapier and Airtable via webhook.
Unfortunately I can’t find a way to transfer these users to a subsite where these roles are ‘copied’ to the subsite. I would like to do this because this subsite is a translated version of the main site to which I (if user has the role ‘fr’) forward to.
Can I do this somehow with this plugin?
]]>I’m trying to activate the plugin but I’m not getting it.
Prompts to activate multi-site
add the line in wpconfig.php
define (‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);
WPM User Sync requires WordPress Multisite installation, and has been deactivated! Please configure WordPress for multisite porpuses and try again.
