I use this plugin to allow large file uploading on the front end but by default, the plugin uses crunches images (resizes) them based on wordpress thumbnail and image settings.
Is there a way to disable this so that the file uploaded is only the original file?
Thanks!

]]>I was wondering if there was any updates on the potential Front End wplupload plugin. I wanted to chime in on the previous topic but it was closed. I run an online print store and have been having a hell of a time getting customer’s large artwork files to me because my shared host caps file size uploading at 24mb and getting some of them to try FTP or dropbox, yousendit, etc., is even more difficult.
Your plugin is perfect since it utilizes chunks BUT it would be great to have a shortcode that can be placed in a page giving the wplupload front end capability (perhaps with captcha also and keep progress bar).
Thank you so much for this plugin nonetheless.
]]>JPEG images that get downsized seem to have the their resolution reduced by crude decimation, rather than by some more elegant technique. So, it introduces artifacts. For example, a photo of a telephone wire looks like a jaggy line.
I would have rated the plugin 5 stars except for this problem.

]]>Clearly this is very much outside the scope of this plugin currently, and I hear WP3.3 will include Plupload in the core – however it would be great for this plugin if it could work on the front-end and integrate with other plugins such as Contact Form 7 [jquery.form], replacing the file upload component with a Plupload one.

]]>Hi
Wplupload is great but it removes empty spaces in image name so the title goes wrong. same function as wordpress uploader (replaceing space with dash and keeping the title intact) can make this plugin a must installed!
