]]>Just installed WPLR on my new laptop. When uploading an image, it appears on my Media library of WordPress, but I get an error message in Lightroom that says something to the effect of “Empty reply from WordPress”, AND it does not aknowledge the image was published, so the image remains in the To Publish section, so when I publish another image, the previously published images are again uploaded to WordPress. Media Library.
How do I fix this?
Thanks
Luis
]]>$wplr->get_hierarchy() does include featured_id
per folder/collection, which is great.
Unfortunately this id does not update for instance when the featured image is deleted.
Any idea to why that might be? Any other changes to the gallery do get updated as expected.
I’m using WPLR Theme Assistant 0.5.4 (and the corresponding wp post does have a correct featured image)
And I’m using Photo Engine Pro Version 6.3.1?
]]>Hello,
We use Jordy Meow’s Photo Engine plugin to organize our media library.
Yesterdy, one of our authorized authors inadvertently deleted several Photo Engine folders. The photos they contained now appear in the unsorted folder.
Is there a way to restore the Photo Engine folder structure from a WP backup?
Thank you in advance.

]]>Ever since a recent update, all my galleries that are using the “none” selection do not open the thumbnails to a lightbox view. I need this back as the thumbnails were smaller, and you could list a whole page of them, but now the thumbnails will not even show up if “none” is selected on another website (I had to change it to masonry view, which I do not want). Please bring this option back.
]]>Hi,
We’re using your plugin to sync images to a website which, upon syncing, create products in WooCommerce. The system works great, but we realized that sometimes we would need validations upon syncing.
This means in Lightroom, when certain tags are given, the custom plugin I developed in WP should be able to validate the data and say “this picture’s configuration is incomplete” and return a detailed error to Lightroom. Right now the plugin only says “there’s a PHP error, you should check the log” so the client won’t know if it’s a validation exception or a real error.
Would it be possible upon publishing ten photos, for example, that the ones that aren’t validated raise an error, giving the details to Lightroom about the validation errors for these specific photos, and publishing the valid ones ?
Is this doable through PHP code in WordPress with your plugin ? I checked the API code but didn’t see anything about this.
Let me know, thanks !

However, I am receiving “414 Request-URI Too Long” when I do a search for a file name on media list view. I don’t have this problem when using the gallery view. I deactivate the plugin, did the same search and did not receive an error. I reactivated the plug in and the error condition returned.
]]>Hello!
We use Lightroom CC on mobile phones to takes pictures of our products as we generally upload about 40 products a day (we are a second hand store, so each item is unique). We are looking for an efficient way to get those photos from the CC version of lightroom into the WordPress Media Library so we can assign them to create product listings. Can this plugin be used with CC or does it only work with Classic? If not, any ideas for work arounds that would save us from downloading and re uploading photos manually. Thanks for your time!
I use wp-lr sync to support publishing to wordpress, it works well from the desktop app but the total-synchronisation plugin can be tricky.
The workflow I am trying to support is
It mostly works but is very sensitive and I have a couple of questions/suggestions
Once I learnt these quirks I was able to use it successfully but I wonder if it can be a little simpler
The manual process is quite tedious over 100s of images.

I think I could make a great use of this plugin, but I can only see that the tutorials are written and so far seem very confusing to me. Do you know of any good video tutorials where everything is explained step by step in a visual way .

]]>Hi everyone,
I just came across this wonderful plugin and I’m asking myself if there is a way to sync the alt field too.
I know that it’s not a Metadata field but surely there is a way to use a metadata field as for the alt information.
Would this plugin allow to assign a meta field in LR to the alt field in WP?

Hi, I would like to use this plugin to sync photos from light room, but when I get a lot of images in a gallery, I would like to add pages to the front end that the user can click to go to /gallery-1/page/2. Is there a way to do that? Is this documented somewhere?
]]>Hi there,
I was just updating WP/LR Synch after a few years of no need to upload new photos to my website.
I am using the combination with Real Media Library, WP/LR Sync Folders with Real Media Library and also Justified Image Grid for displaying the images.

The synch from the updated WP/LR Plugin in Lightroom does not work anymore, so I guess it is related to this uncaught exception which also prevents me from getting into the Plugin Settings.
Best regards

Thanks for creating this very interesting plugin! My question is simple: Bridge with ACR effectively does the same thing as Lightroom, but we prefer its database-less approach. We have one large folder with source files (psd) and another one with output files (png) for WP-Upload. Both have metadata applied, mostly keywords.
Is there maybe a way to use your Plugin to remote control the Media Library from Bridge – or do you hook into Lightrooms database?
]]>Hi Jordy,
today I added some more pictures to my website. Some of them are virtual copies in Lightroom (detailed cutouts) from images in the same folder. The virtual copies in LR all have a copy name, so that their file name will be different.
But with WP/LR Sync they get uploaded under the original file name. Which of course messes things ups.
It used to be working before. I used this workflow many times.
Could you please fix this.
Thank you so much.

]]>Perhaps related to another post here of mine, WP/LR does not seem to like to upload images that are full resolution.
When I attempt to upload a full-size image, the process in Lightroom times out with an error saying it got an ‘Empty’ response from WordPress. However, in WordPress, the timed-out images appear in the Media Library, just not attached to the folder in the Organizer.
When I reduce the resolution to web standards, the process appears to work properly. However, this is really not acceptable, as I would like to have the image files available as printable downloads.
]]>I am using WP/LR on two sites, one located on a ‘shared host’ (BlueHost) and the other on a ‘virtual machine’ (DigitalOcean). Neither are working correctly.
Using the BlueHost site as an example, uploads from the Lightroom Publishing Service often crash with the following error.
https://snipboard.io/AJFwju.jpg
I’ve looked at the PHP error logs, and see nothing related to this.
The results on the WordPress site are that the images seem to upload OK, and in this case one of the three, while uploaded, did not populate the folder structure (Real Media Library) as seen in this link. (the image at top is not in the folder)….the two that are, are out of sight at the bottom of the page.
https://snipboard.io/5oPrM7.jpg
I’ve tried many tactics to get this to work, including deleting everything, and starting fresh, with different names for folders, collections, etc.
Nothing seems to work. Everything seems to be up to date.
This has worked in the past, but I haven’t used it much in recent times. Now, I am trying to use it as the basis for my sync from Lightroom.
I’ve had an exchange with Matthias on the other forum about problems with the folder structure, which doesn’t seem evident on this site, but is on the other.
Thanks for any help with what direction I should go next.

]]>A request, not a bug report.
Perhaps it is just my eyes but the thumbnails in the Consolidate view seem to be extremely small. They don’t seem to be based on WordPress thumbnail size?
There seems to be very little to loose by making these a few hundred pixels across – much easier to pick the correct image, particularly from a sequence.
]]>Hi,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to get this working. The file does get loaded however Lightroom then pops up an error “The server returns an empty reply. Please check your PHP Error Logs.” The name is to set but no other meta data is added (eg. keyword, caption).
In the WPLR.Syncr log the below entry is added . Unfortunately Bluehost does not seem to log the URL request causing the misconfiguration making it very hard to track down. Any hints what this URL is, or a way I could trace the message contents?

I have updated to Photo Engine and enabled Media Organizer and Media Modals. Now when adding an image to a post or when I want to choose a featured image I can only filter on ‘Dates’ and no longer on ‘All Media’. How can I get ‘All Media’ back in filter?
]]>Dear Jordy,
while I like the change in the most recent version that moves the files to the date-based folder according to the capture date, this appears to be incompatible with WordPress Reader.
For a photo that I uploaded yesterday and that Photo-Engine moved into the /2008/10/ uploads folder, WordPress Reader still tries to access that photo from the /2021/07/ location (many entries in my 404 log).
I’ve reverted to v6.0.8 because of this, but would generally prefer to have NEW uploads in the current folder, and only the attachment date set to the capture date (not just because of WordPress Reader), like it used to be.
It would be great if this was separately configurable and not tied to the “Use Photo Taken Date” option.
Thanks
Alex.
The following error is piling up in my error logs of Apache and it is causing my ecommerce site to not function. Rolling back now.

]]>The new “Photo Engine” version 6 with the animations in the UI appears to be rather slow, compared to the old “WP/LR Sync” version 5.1.8, at least on my site.
Is it possible to get rid of the animated gimmicks and such, with a configuration switch? I really find it rather distracting and unnecessary (I have nearly 6000 images online).
Similarly, the new version seems to time out quite reliably (perhaps related?), for example when I want to manually link images in the Media Library. The first one works, the second one is giving me a red error message with something about the “REST API” being unavailable. The only way to get rid of the error message is to reload the page or use the browser’s “back” button. That’s not good.
I reverted to version 5.1.8 for the moment, where everything appears to be leaner, faster, and most of all, it’s all working as expected. As a subscriber with active support, would have appreciated a heads-up that such a major change is coming.
Thanks
Alexander.
Hi Jordy,
I just noticed that the “Generate Token” button appears in every user’s profile.
Any way to fix this ? Did I miss something ?
Thanks.

]]>The WordPress site I am building with help from WP/LR Sync will eventually replace an existing site.
If I do my WP staging at staging.exampledomain.com, will I be able migrate the WP site to exampledomain.com without totally breaking the WP/LR Sync relationship?
Alternatively, I could create the staging site in a subfolder on the live server, e.g., exampledomain.com/wpinstall/, and then change the site address to exampledomain.com when the WP site is ready to go live.
What do you advise?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
I am using wordpress + Divi.
I am looking for plug in to diplay my galleries of pictures and a plug in to sync between my lightroom galleries and my website galleries.
My first question is:
Which gallery plug in should I choose to make it work with divi as well with WP/LR sync plugin ?
My second question is:
Does the sync modify the picture size so the pages of our galleries are fast to load?
Thank you very much for your help and understanding.
Best regards,
Simon
