So far, so good. been playing with the free version, and while it’s somewhat limited (enough for most tbh, just lacks color customization), it does the job. Will likely go for pro because I want the icons and to change some colors.
I’ve been searching for a good accordion for categories for a while and out of the three I managed to nail it down to (not sure I can mention others here so I won’t, but most people probably end up deciding between the same few), this came out on top. Looks great, general code seems good, not bloated from what I can tell, runs nicely.
Will be back to update this review if I can after it’s been installed for a while and if any issues pop up.

We are using Pro. We needed a simple feature that was missing from the plugin. The customer service response was fast and the feature was added in two days.

Buying Pro version is well worth it! It is a small cost for such excellent support. Be patient with the WpBean support representative – use the ticket and/or the chat box methods to contact support after your purchase.
Plan when they are available to get your questions answered – there may be time differences in geographical locations.
Definitely would recommend this plugin, and their support.

TL;DR The plugin is styled for a very specific type of theme and likely needs manually customized after installation. Too many advertisements.
The plugin technically functions as expected. The biggest pain point for me is the default styles. It is 100% dark theme and there’s no “skeleton styles” or options to remove the default styling. This means that it only really fits well into specific “dark” themes by default or out of the box.
Developer friendly & easy to customize.
Using !important in CSS is not developer friendly nor does it make it easy to customize. This is especially true when it’s used on colors that surely the developers know will need to be overridden on most themes. I think that these are easily fixable issues without removing the value of a premium version but because of the default styles and use of !important it’s just O.K.
On a side-note, it also doesn’t seem very accessible, specifically for keyboard users.

I’ve had to come back to this and being it down a star for injecting too many advertisements. There’s an obnoxiously large dismissible banner advertisement asking non-admins to upgrade and there’s also an obnoxiously large Dashboard widget asking to upgrade too. It’s all a bit much for me.

At first User have to install ‘Shortcode Widget’ plugin to add accordion in widget.
If you don’t know name of your taxonomy, look for it in adress panel of category
for example: https://*yoursite*/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product *** So taxonomy = product_cat
So, you have to know something about css for editing style.
And if you have non empty ‘<a href..’ on category element with child links, welcome to write this code in ‘../inc/wpb-wmca-functions.php’:
BEFORE:
if( count($termchildren)>0 ){

}
AFTER:

Free version is very limited. There is no widget, you have to add it by a shortcode, so bad! Also, the plugin is bugged, free and paid version. Support on their website is full of people complaining about that.
I installed and uninstalled it in less than 5 minutes.
Do not download, try to find another, whatever you find should be better than this.
