When i try to active plugin system replied with “Cannot create wp_cloud_media_content table — MySQL error: Unknown storage engine ‘ClouSE’ WP2Cloud requires the Cloud Storage Engine for MySQL (ClouSE) to be installed and configured on the MySQL server. As an example of property configured ClouSE and WP2Cloud you can use WordPress on S3 / WordPress to Google.”

Plugin relies on a mysql plugin ClousSE which doesn’t support some linux specific builds of mysql.

You can either install a second instance of mysql or make sure you have the generic binary.

Seems this is only meant for WP servers or your own hosting server setup that has the ClouSE engine installed.

A bit of a learning curve at first for some but with the instructions and the excellent level of great support I would recommend this to anyone looking to make their WP site work with S3

Thanks to this plugin, we were able to build our MS instance directly in the cloud, leaving space for future growth without storage problems!
Starting the instance directly with this setup, brought no issues whatsoever.

Moreover the Oblaksoft support was extremely helpful in recovering some tables data we accidentally deleted!

The WP2Cloud plugin is an excellent route for your site to go to the cloud, whether to Amazon’s or Google’s. Lots of documentation, and good support from OblakSoft.

It’s not easy to upgrade to the cloud. However, OblakSoft does a good job of holding your hand through the process.

Sorry to give a poor review but all i can find on the net about this plugin is all the cool things it can do. It seems like the owner of this plugin should stop his marketing and pr rant and spend some time with making sure that the documentation of this plugin is straightforward. The https://www.oblaksoft.com/documentation/getting-started-with-clouse/ page is a joke, i am not a tech expert when it comes to amazon services or your plugin so stop sending me all over the net on a wild goose chase and give me some straightforward documentation that will assist in the installation process. Jeez when i do a google search for this plugin all i get is the same bs “what a cool plugin, what a cool company!” the users could care less. Over promised and under delivered. I am disappointed on many levels about this process, get it together, before the competition comes and puts you on your ass. I recommend a video guide for installing this beast, because unlike the documentation on www.remarpro.com its more than a 3 step process.

I actually used the wordpress yapixx instance from the same company with the wp2cloud built in. Installation was quick and easy. Site loads fast, compared to the shared hosting I was in. Had some issues, since I’m a newbie working with Amazon EC2, but the support was always quick and helpful. Would highly recommend this to anybody who wants to move their site into the cloud.
