This plugin will not make your site gdpr compliant when using youtube videos.
simply install add a video to your site and then do a test on cookiebot.com

It keep increasing GSC pages “Crawled – currently not indexed”, it adds tons of NEW pages, what a sh*t plugin is this

This small plugin makes it possible to embed YouTube videos in Germany without violating the GDPR. Even youtubenocookie doesn’t appear secure here as the domain will preconnect. It’s helpful to save the thumbnails locally as well. The plugin runs (after a bit of testing with the settings) both mobile and desktop without any problems. The only wish for improvement would be an elegant solution for linking the privacy policy outside of the figcaption. Maybe a small overlay in a corner?

i was tested your plugin, but i test on google speedtest the video change to load from the “youtube-nocookie.com” instead of “youtube.com”??
