A unique plugin of its kind but which I consider very useful and fundamental if you have to manage many websites (as in my case) in order to have a “memory” of the plugins to be updated!
EXCELLENT!

It’s ok for theme and plugins notifications, but notification about core updates does’t work for more than one year!
This plugin probably won’t recieve an update anymore.

I get notified whenever a plugin needs to be updated. Perfect!

Simple, no excess fluff. I like the email notifications, points to Details, Changelog on each plugin, states compatibility.
Thanks

Should be installed by default in WordPress!

A bit ugly but work like a charm!

This plug-in works well – been notified of plugin updates and the WordPress 4.6.1 update.
If the site has a custom theme or some config that prevents update notifications from appearing (i.e. if you go to your dashboard or plug-ins page and don’t see that there are updates), I am not getting a notification. Makes sense, and wasn’t really the plug-in’s problem.

FAJN IS OK

Só n?o dou 5 estrelas porque n?o é possível editar as mensagens recebidas. Poderia definir mensagens para Plugins, Temas e o WordPress na língua desejada.

Simple UI.. Easy setup..

Produces errors on activation:
“The plugin generated 282 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”
Also produces errors when you try to save its settings:

I never recieved email notifications neither plugin updates nor core updates
]]>Rating: 5 stars
I have my sites under version control with deployment tools used and therefore don’t really want WordPress auto-updating things. Therefore I needed something to email me when plugins/themes and core needed updates so I could run the update and deploy.
This plugin does an awesome job – thanks for sharing.

Works extremely well.

The lack of response to resolve simple errors in the Plugin is disappointing. Otherwise it’s fine, notifies us of pending updates.

I am using this plugin to help manage my updating process.
It gives the ability to notify for core, plugins and themes and specify the email address that the emails are sent from and to.
I can’t recommend it enough.

Just works. Love it.

This is a great plugin. It just works. Recommended!

I have used this plugin on more than 50 client sites. It has worked without fail for me. It is simple, light-weight, and reliable. I’d recommend it without reservation. Make sure that your web server PHP config is properly setup and and 5.4 or higher, which you should be the case anyway, and you are good to go.

Very good

Works as expected

Although this is exactly what I need, it generates errors and needs to be updated by the author.

I use it on several of my websites.

I consider this a security plugin since plugins and themes ought to be kept up to date in case they contain security fixes.
I have multiple sites and am not comfortable with the services out there that let you update everything on all sites from one place. That is convenient but there’s something about central access to all my sites from one point that concerns me. WordPress is my livelihood so I prefer to play it safe and manually update plugins when WP Updates Notifier says its time.
The real cron-powered notification option is solid.

I manage multiple wordpress installations, and love the fact that I don’t have to visit each site to make sure they’re up to date. I was a little leery to install because it hadn’t been tested on 4.0, but it’s working great!

Very useful plugin. I’m using it on 3 business websites and it is the best solution at updating wordpress, themes and plugins.

I originally rated this 1-star since I never got notifications, but when I was moving my site to a new host, I discovered that one of the security plugins was blocking new update notifications. After fixing that, this plugin works great!
(Plugin author – sorry for the initial bad review when it wasn’t your plugin causing the issue.)

Ah crap – I typed it into the wrong window ?? This isn’t a review for this plugin, sorry about that!

ignore the rest of this review!

It mostly does what I need – though there are a few minor nits –

I love this plugin cause it is simple and “set it and forget it”… I never understood why WordPress doesn’t just implement something like this in the core. But this plugin does the trick, so no complaints!
