I have a problem after the implementation of WP-United.
1. Registering from WordPress
2. Going to phpBB forum
3. Trying to login through forum login page/form
4. As a result I get an error page, that the password is wrong
5. I go back to wp part, login passes successfully.
6. After i do remind password on phpBB side it works correctly
7. But if i do remind password on wp side it gives me the same error on phpBB side.
Any advise?

we had WP and WPU working until recently when we updated WP, so we decided to update WPU as well. there is one major problem: the style-fixer.php script inserts spaces and other characters into the CSS where they don’t belong and effectively break the layout. most prominently:
– “filter: progid:DXImageTransform” becomes “filter: progid: DXImageTransform”
– “border: 1px dotted;” becomes “#border: 1px dotted;”
– some colors just become “rgb()” instead of “color: rgb()”
most browsers simply ignore those errors (of which there are over 60 in my case), but safari decides to just not render most of the colors, so the layout pretty much breaks.

Entering at WP-United, User mapping menu, I get this error:

When I disable the another plugin named ‘Email posts to subscribers’ v.1.8 the error is solved.
It seems there might be a conflict in any function, but i cant find where.

]]>We’re having a weird problem where WP-United keeps getting disconnected every few hours, but there’s nothing in the log files to indicate what’s going on to cause it. At first I thought it was happening when Apache was rotating logs, but that’s not the case.
How can I find out what’s causing WP-United to disconnect?

I have been using wp-united for phpbb quite a while now.
Howver I recently came across some problems with the for forum. I posted on phpbb website and one of the problems was that there is 2 sets of cookies – 6 rather than 3. This appears to be a problem with wp-united , how do I fix this ?

I really would like one login to my WP site and its PhPbb. Is that possible any longer?
I do not want a generic social media login… I want people to specifically have to subscribe to our site if they want to participate.

Security changes made within phpbb and the tightening up of the hooks in WordPress seem to have finally killed this plugin.
If you go to wp-united.com, and the WordPress plugin site the author has two completely different names attached to the same photograph.
Because of the way this product integrates, and the recent security breaches on sits using it, we have decided to remove it form all of our supported sites, and will be looking for other ways to provide the integration.

I am trying to install this as the other forum plugin I was using is no longer up for download so can some one help with install problems….
There are just a few things on the install.xml file that do not add up…
function phpbb_check_hash($password, $hash)Where is that in the includes/functions.php as I can not find it….
Next where is the style.php file its asking to edit its not there….
Next one is overall_header.html
Where is <script type="text/javascript"> edit as its not there…
Next where is the editor.js file its asking to edit its not there….
Are the edits for this mod right as it looks like this mods is a died mod…. Lets hope not and some one can help with the problems…
]]>Trying to update from WPU 0.9.2.5 to 0.9.2.8 on WP 3.6.1, everything seems to work fine inside WP, I can get it connected and change settings but when I try to visit my forum I just get a blank white page and it logs the following error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in …/wordpress-runner.php on line 95
I then revert it back to 0.9.2.5 and it starts working again.
Any thoughts?

]]>It works fine over HTTP, but I’m trying to use WP-United over SSL.
The problem I have is that all of the style-fixer <link> tags are pointed to HTTP instead of HTTPS. I’ve drilled down in the code and see the URL coming from a function called generate_board_url in phpBB’s functions.php. If I put a die($url) before the return, I see “https://”, however if I just use var_dump($url), all the urls are suddenly “https://”.
My only guess is that there’s some output buffering and content manipulation going on somewhere.
I’ve hacked it up and gotten it working with the following code, but it seems like a bad idea in the long run:
return str_replace('http:', '', str_replace('https:', '', $url));
Does anyone know how I can fix this properly? Thanks!

I have WP-united running quite smoothly but for some unknown reason the url is wrong. For example if I visit the forum via the admin dashboard it wants to go here – https://chill4uscarers.co.uk/phpbb/
but the actual forum is running here – https://www.chill4uscarers.co.uk/forums/index.php that wouldnt really be a problem but the main problem with it is that my sitemap dosent see it, which leads me to believe that google etc will not either.
Could someone help me with this as soon as possible as I do not know how to rectify it.

Hi, I just can’t get this module to work. I’ve tried doing the manual way (twice) and the Automod way, none of it works. I’m using WordPress version 3.8.4, latest wp-united and phpbb 3.0. I’ve searched the forums both here and on wp-united.com for answers, but I can’t find any solution.
Everything works until I press the “theme integration” checkbox in the module, then my forum just turns white. If I turn it off, it goes back to normal again. I don’t get any errors either. I’ve followed the guide how to turn on all the error messages but it doesn’t show any. It’s just a white blank page. So I don’t know what’s going on, it’s kind of impossible to know really…
Would mean a lot if this could work. Kind of sucks to have a separate forum for my client’s webshop.

i’m using phpBB inside wordpress, advanced settings are “full page: page without sidebar” (but i tested the other options already, with the same result)
