Hi, I just installed the plugin, I added the reviews to the list (10 reviews) then create the template and copied the shortcode [wptripadvisor_usetemplate tid=”1″] to the page but when I update nothing changed, am I doing something wrong or is it a plugin issue.

I couldn’t download the review list and got an error message:

The program cannot be run!

Possible causes of the error
– the program is faulty
– in the case of a cgi program, the path of the interpreter is incorrect
– in case of cgi program, the end line of the program code is bad (unix line end is required)
– for php / cgi program, file run permissions are incorrectly set
– for php / cgi program, directory run permissions are incorrectly set

Webmaster info
Adjust the run permissions correctly in each case chmod 711 or chmod 755

Note: the chmod already correct

Version installed: 12.6 (been tried to use 12.5 and got a same problem)

Hi, I was looking for a way to embed trip advisor reviews into listings within a town directory website, to do this it would require the ability to dynamically load individual links specific for each business as each business page is loaded as opposed tohaving just a single link configured in the plugin setup. Is this something that this plugin could do?

Hi, running Version 12.5, free version. Trying to trigger download of new review but nothing happens. Has been like this for several weeks now. Last review downloaded is from January 2024 and there is 3 new after that. Running WP 6.5.2. What can be the issue? Thank you in advance, Emily

Place ID is correct.

Dear Support, I have a problem when I try to update reviews on my website. Users with role “Administrator” can update without problems, on the contrary users with role “Author” cannot.
Is there a particular permission required to do that?

Just ran an update and I am getting errors in the admin for the plugin. A confrimation link for the update was sent to an old email that is no longer working. Can it be sent to my new email? How would I do that? First review “bubble” is right truncated (right side is hidden). Slide / scroll shifts the width of the visible display (not the width of the bubble) thereby displaying the right side of the first review and the second review similarly right truncated.

Using STYLE1 of the free version. Note that the widget width and height settings do not appear to affect the widget’s behaviour.

we are using the free version. I have tried updating our reviews by clicking the save settings and download button.
The error says the link is not existing: Unable to retrieve TripAdvisor reviews for that URL. Try going to the TripAdvisor URL in a browser, click on the title of your first review, then copy that URL and use it in the plugin.

Firstly thank you for your excellent plugin!
Lately new reviews don’t appear automatically anymore on a website I am developing. When I click on ‘save settings & download’ in the admin. I get a message saying there are no new reviews, but then I refresh the site and there are new reviews.
The site is fully updated, core (6.2) and all plugins including yours (11.1). The site runs on php 7.4

The plugin is not compatiable with PHP 8.

I get the error

I fixed the error by changing around line 74 to:

	if ( ! isset( $fs_active_plugins->plugins ) ) {

	$fs_active_plugins = (object) $fs_active_plugins;
	$fs_active_plugins->plugins = array();
}

		}

Because the option was not found the array object does not exists to add a plugins param to.

Cannot set up plugin – “Get trip advisor reviews” page does not have any functionality. It shows the following:

“A Couple of Notes:
– New reviews are downloaded once a day.
– The free version does not currently work for Vacation Rentals.

The “TripAdvisor Business URL” appears that it should be a hyperlink but it is not.

Is it possible to filter reviews by the product? We have over 100 products and want the reviews displayed to be relevant/match the product. So, if you’re looking at a Kennedy Space Center Tour you will only see reviews from this tour, and you will not see any reviews for St Augustine Tours or Miami Tours, for example.

I’m using version 10.2 and it’s not downloading the lastest reviews. It is downloading 10 of them, but it’s missing the most recent 6.
