Hi There,
I need assistance with a problem I am having posting to Facebook through the WP to Buffer app. The app has been working fine for atleast 3 months before this issue started happening.
After creating a post, I publish it. Usually it will send the post details to Buffer and then publish to facebook when required. Recently we started getting and error logged in the buffer log on the post page – “Buffer API Error: #1030: Buffer can’t fetch the image. … Install?Media File Renamer Plugin?to automatically remove spaces, accented or special characters in image filenames.” See image below.
I have followed the steps asked in the error log, activating the plugin Media File Renamer, but we still have this issue. We then refreshed the link/connection between the facebook profile and the Buffer app and had 2 x posts published correctly, but the third and fourth gave the ssame error again.
What are we doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
]]>Hi,
I’ve been evaluating Buffer for a bit now, and it’s been working great for Facebook and Threads now, though Bluesky still has an issue with initially parsing the link preview/attachment (using OpenGraph option) that comes from a WordPress post. So the actual Bluesky post (see them, here: @gamingage.bsky.social on Bluesky ) just has the link and not the card, UNLESS, I pop open the Buffer editor for that item before it posts, which immediately then parses/fixes that link.
See the before/after screenshots below.
Before hitting edit, you can see the Bluesky preview doesn’t fetch the OpenGraph preview card.

After just touching the item with the editor, you can see the Bluesky preview shows the card properly, and then it posts correctly.

I’ve been through the documentation/help articles thoroughly and can’t find an option which applies for Bluesky that would change the behavior.
Thanks!
“I have the plugin and when I post on social media it generates a text called ‘post updated’. Is it possible to change or remove this word?
]]>Hello,
So we are using WPML to translate to multiple languages. We’re using WP to Buffer but we have separate pages for the languages. Is there any way to set it so it sends from the english site to the english FB page and then Arabic site to Arabic FB page?
]]>Hi, I’ve been evaluating Buffer and the plugin for a few days now (super well thought out!) and noticed some inconsistent behavior regarding sharing posts to Facebook specifically.
Sending a post to Buffer, does not seem to parse the URL properly or show the link preview — which then passes through to our Facebook page like that. We’re just using super simple {title} {excerpt} {url} format, there’s a trailing slash in the URL, we’ve tried various shorteners, and Facebook has no issue doing the link preview directly or using other similar plugins. Duplicating a Buffer post with the url DOES then parse the link preview properly interestingly.
Please see examples of this in the screenshots below. The sections with working link previews were duplicated and slightly edited to get the previews to show up.
Images do not seem to show here, so links to examples:

Hi
We are having problems with the content tag – when adding this tag to the post it is not delivering to Buffer – just the title, url and featured image. The post content is not being delivered. We are using the Enfold theme. How can we set this up to corrently auto post to buffer to include the content?
Any help much appreciated.
]]>My website used WP to Buffer a while back, but no longer. I’m doing a cleanup of my database and found the following and wanted to make sure they were yours and if it is ok to delete them:
I cannot see how to add an image to each of my social posts when they are sent.
I am using bbpress and I only want to send topics and replies to twitter, facebook and bluesky.
At the monent I am using dlvr.it which picks up the site image from Yoast. I want to move from dlvr, do I need the paid version or I missing something ?

Good morning and thank you for reading my perhaps for the experts a bit silly question. I just installed WP to Buffer on my site and not seeing the posts published on social and being sure I configured the plugin properly, in my ignorance as a layman of this plugin I did some research. From what I found on the plugin site I gather that the posts are not published right away but are scheduled. I would like to know if I have understood this correctly. Thank you.
]]>Hello, we have a WP to Buffer plugin on our staging site to schedule posts for our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages. However, we would like the social media posts to contain production URLs rather than staging URLs. Is this functionality supported, or must the plugin be installed on the production website to schedule and publish the posts automatically?
Our goal is to ensure that when we publish an article in WordPress staging and deploy it, the article appears immediately on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages without manually scheduling the posts or editing the URLs in the Buffer account. Is this possible?

]]>Hi guys,
Really nice plugin you have.
I’m using it for my site with combination of PublishPress Future to unpublish/set to draft in 1 month after publication.
For some reasons, it triggers when save to draft. And this is happens intermittently. There are bunch of post that going draft each day, but only few post trigger the publication on Buffer.
Do you might have any idea where should I start to troubleshoot it?
Thanks,
]]>Hi,
Please confirm whether or not it is possible to specify whether a post is only sent to Buffer by the post Category taxonomy in the free version of this plugin or if only the pro version offers this functionality.
Thanks,
canu
Hi,
Please confirm that only posts that are Published (with the Published status) will be sent. We have another feed that imports many other posts that are Drafts so we don’t want these to be sent to Buffer prior to approval.
Thanks,
canu
Hi,
I’ve just set up the plugin to connect with Facebook with the schedule being set in Buffer to send posts at 4:59PM
Can you confirm that the only posts that will be sent to Buffer are those have been created or updated after the time that the schedule has been set up until 4:59PM and that the older posts will not be sent? There are many existing ‘legacy’ posts so we want to ensure that this are not sent in the next batch.
Thanks,
canu

]]>Hi, is there a filter hook to have custom social status text rules?
Thank you.
]]>Dear Team WP Zinc,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to report an issue I am encountering with the WP to Buffer plugin. Despite configuring it correctly, I am experiencing delays in the posting process to social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
As our website primarily deals with news content, it is crucial that posts are disseminated to social media platforms promptly to maintain relevance and engagement with our audience. However, I have observed that posts are being scheduled with a delay of one to two days, which undermines the efficiency and effectiveness of our social media strategy.
Attached is a screenshot of the log displaying the issue: Screenshot
Could you kindly investigate this matter and provide guidance on how to rectify this delay issue? Your expertise and assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Best regards,
Gulshan
