Seemingly due to a request with an incorrect?Content-Type?header on?/wp-json/quadlayers/tiktok/frontend/user-profile?requesting for a?text/plain?and having an?application/json?response some ModSecurity server protection can give false positive and can cause IP banning. It would be nice if you could fix this error!

]]>There is a bug in the Tiktok wordpress plugin but Quadlayers provides no way to get support unless you pay for the plugin. The “Limit” function when adding a feed does not work. It always returns 10 posts regardless of what is put in this field. Seems that this popped up in the newest version or TikTok changed something on their end.

For other social media channels I use the Smash Balloon plugin together with Borlabs Cookie for this and it works fine.
When I use Borlabs Cookie together with Quadlayer’s TikTok Feed, the connection is also blocked, but if someone agrees afterwards to the connection, the unblocking does not work.
According to Borlabs support, this requires a subsequent initialization of the JS. The DOMContentLoaded event is not available to unlocked scripts, but is often used for initialization.
Can you tell me how to achieve the subsequent initialization?

I believe TikTok added a new feature that allows users to post multiple photos in a slideshow.
I don’t think that the plugin currently supports this feature.
Could you perhaps temporarily disable this type of post, while you figure out whether to show them or not. Currently it’s showing an empty box, image with empty source.

Tiktok has recently removed the API nodes we’ve using to fetch the feed data. This put us on the path of two options: close the plugin and stop supporting Tiktok or start a rewrite from the scrath.
We’ve decided to continue with the support of this free plugin and rewrite the entire code.
We’re working day and night to get this plugin working again as soon as we can, but this is not an easy task for a small team like us.

I had a problem with the video popup. After a close look there was this message in ajax response : “Cheatin’?”
I think the problem was that in api.php the $home_url has “www.” replaced but not $http_referer.
I solved it adding line 65 :
$http_referer = str_replace($protocols, '', $http_referer);
I add this message for requesting a fix, if I have to update the module on my website not to have to do it again.

When we click on the tiktok image its not loading the video, and there is always cache problem. We need to clear every now and then to load the feed.
