I’m using free version of WP Tao plugin. I have pinned Google Analitics as well to the website, but I have problem because both systems show much different statistics. Tao says there are 2k-3k entries daily, GA says there are 2-5 entries. I do not have made conversion for GA yet so does not display abandonned baskets. Here is my questions:

1. On what data WP Tao is basing?
2. Why differences in data are so drastic (2k – 3k vs 2 – 5 entries daily)?
3. Does WP Tao take to consider in his summary google bots and other crawlers?

Can you please restrict your plugin’s admin CSS & JS scripts to ONLY be enqueued on WP Tao pages? They are causing conflicts with other themes & plugins, because your plugin is forcing jQuery UI CSS to be added to admin pages, which don’t belong to WP Tao.

You have a very good and useful plugin, thank you for the good work. I have one question. How can I grant access to the plugin data to users with the “Editor” role? I know that only the administrator can access the plugin, but I would not want to create another administrator on the site because of security. I have 3 editors and 1 administrator on the site, the other accounts work with the role of “Subscriber”.

I’m using WPTao to detect multiple account registartions by users, but when the user creates second account through Nextend Facebook Connect plugin WPTao always “sees” him as a new user. User login event is fired after user registration event, and it creates a new user.

I sorted out the problem like this, using the ‘pre_user_email’ filter.

The data on the “Events” section has disappeared.
However, all of the collected data is still intact in the database table.

Events are being stored in the database, but they are not showing up in the WP Tao Events section on the WP Dashboard. How can I get the data to show up again without losing the data?

Hi, I love the plugin and features but makes my website unusable from being so slow gradually after activating. It gets to a point where the frontend barely loads.

No errors in CHrome dev console, just very slow, repeating queries.

Backend very very slow Version 1.2.8.1 makes the backend Admin area painfully slow to load posts, pages, etc.

Switching off Tao makes a huge speed difference.

Any fix for this please otherwise I will have to abandon Tao

Plugin TAO is preventing my widgets to open up and be edited in backend. Am I the only one experiencing it?

Just a couple of weeks ago, the website started showing its server’s IP as the IP of every Identified user in the “Fingerprints” section.

I contacted the hosting company to know what is causing it, and they said that there were some global changes made to Nginx and OHWP servers that might have affected how the plugin obtains users’ IPs. They said I would need to change the method in which IPs are obtained on the plugin’s settings page …but there is no way to do this in the setting options, correct?

The support staff also stated the following: “The nginx configuration is set to display the real IP of the visitor. I’m not sure how the plugin developer pulls the data.”

Based on their investigation of the issue, they were able to narrow the problem down to the manner in which IPs are being pulled.

Which method does the plugin use to obtain IPs?

I think this plugin should be updated because there was a major update in Woocommerce(now 3.0.6) and there is a lot of deprecated calls initiated by WP Tao.

This is a great plugin, which provides some great user analytics.
I Had a strange thing occur overnight (after I installed the plugin yesterday).

After installing, and browsing some of my pages, I was looking at how TAO was logging the activity….all looked really good. Then I went to bed.

Then after waking up this morning, I was checking the logs & I saw that TAO was “Identifying” my UserName every 2 minutes from midnight till 8am. Looked almost like a “runaway” process.

Would you know the cause for this, or is this a known issue?
Any ideas for a fix would be appreciated.

Is there anyway to remove/delete Events tied to an Unidentified User, without having to select each individual event and click Delete?

I see for Identified Users, there’s an Action for “Delete all events and fingerprints connected with this record”
