I’ve seen an automated hack targeting this plugin in my 404 logs.
The wp-symposium/server/php/index.php file provides an entry point for automatic malware injection – the attacker uploads code to the directory and then runs it.

DO NOT USE THIS PLUGIN until this is is fixed!

Wasted half an hour of my life trying to figure out how to sort this out. It said you need to register to get the activation key. When registered, no activation key there. Said you can’t access the key. Makes you think what is going on.

AWESOME plugin!
Just what I was looking for!
I tried Buddypress, which slowed down a lot my website, with features I didnt want at all, bugs…
I decided to remove it and searched another plugin, and… WP-Symposium appeared!
I dont know why it is that much unknown, you should sincerly make more ads for it, you deserve it!
We can edit almost everything easily! colors, options…!

When I first started working on the rebuild for the official Rob Zombie website, one of the things I was asked to do was find a way to build a community on the site, so fans had a place to go, share and hang out, as well as get all the latest news on Rob Zombie.

After much hunting, and trials and errors with other plugins, which weren’t always theme compatible, too complicated, or load bearing on the site, I came across WPS.

What more could you want other than everything it delivers – a forum, a profile, do as you wish groups, and so much more. I love this plugin! And the fans do too! They have a home, a little space on the site that is their own and I can not praise the work of Simon enough.

Whether it is the delivery of the product, the transparency of development or the faultless one-on-one help if a problem should arise – you can not go wrong.

As the web designer and web manager for Rob Zombie, all I can say is – go use this.

Plugin developers are an odd lot. They think it’s ok to sell a plugin and then not provide access to terms and condtions or a way to contact them about billing issues.

I bought this plugin and ended up deleting it and now I get a fucking NO REPLY email about auto renewal, telling me to go to my paypal account, which does not exist.

This plugin creates a huge load and really slows a websites load speeds down big time. And the conflicts!!! OYVEY!!!

Simply the best social networking Plugin for WordPress there is. Easy to install and worked with most all themes I have. Site members seem to like it enough to start inviting their friends to join the site now
