I would like to add a toolbar that will allow a “design brush” similar to what is in Word software.
[Lets “Paste Design” with brush design]
As soon as I upgraded to 4.8.1 I get:
Failed to load plugin url: https://DOMAIN/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-edit/tinymce_plugins/xhtmlxtras/plugin.js
When I try to edit a post/page.
]]>Hi,
My buttons have disappeared. I saw in an earlier topic a couple years ago this has happened before. Is this happening to other people again? Is anyone aware? I have to make a large overhaul to my website and need the buttons.
Thanks in advance.

easiest thing would be to add a couple preformatted options
example Tue Jun 06, 2016 xx (for am or pm)
I have found these 2 buttons broken. They do not appear in editor. This is because current version of tinymce calls them as subscript and superscript instead of sub and sup.
however, there is a simple solution. After initialization of plugin you need to manually edit 2 records in wp_super_edit_buttons table and rename the “name” field from sub
to subscript
and from sup
to superscript
. Next you need to reassign the buttons in WP Super Edit settings and click update buttons.
Anyway, plugin could be corrected.

Love and thank you for this plugin! After installing and creating my first table the table and contents look great but I have lost the ability to use the browsers right click options.
If a word is misspelled then it is underlined in red but on right clicking the misspelled word I only get the table’s right click properties dialog instead. I’ve right clicked on many parts of the editor window and the only option is that of table properties. It does the same if I right click on a word inside the table or on a word outside of the table.
Am I doing something wrong here or is this proper usage? Firefox 45.0.2.

]]>Thank you for the plugin! It seems to be working well on our site with WordPress version 4.2.2. We can create different sets of buttons for the Standard WordPress roles. It seems that the plugin is seeing our custom roles created through the Press Permit Plugin also. We can create sets of buttons for these roles also. However the user roles with Press Permit are not set through the drop down in the user account setting. We leave that on the Subscriber role and set the roles for the user through the Groups in Press Permit. When this is done the user gets only the subscriber buttons and not the ones set for the custom role. Is there a way for this to be fixed?

Thanks.

]]>Hi Guys,
I’m running WP Super Edit to format the site and help it look a bit more professional. Iv’e used tables to keep to a certain pattern and made the borders and grid lines invisible. It’s working fine across Safari and Chrome but in Firefox the lines will not vanish no matter what I try.
The URL is https://www.practisesite.co.uk/products/ct-main-systems/
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Oh the theme I’m using is Vertex.
Cheers for reading.

]]>Is it just me, or has no one noticed that when someone posts that they’ve installed and configured this plugin, and it simply doesn’t appear anywhere, that the author never replies.
Well, this plugin sounded like a great idea, but somehow, based on what I see in this forum, I’m not getting my hopes up about getting it to work.

I tried to define TinyMCE settings for a custom user role I created but seems the plugin doesn’t work for custom roles. However it works for admins and editor users all fine.
Any solution?
]]>Hi, I’ve just updated a site to WP 3.5.1 w/ WPSE 2.4.6. Now, the advanced link dialogue is not working. Any help with figuring out how to solve this will be greatly appreciated! I love the WPSE plugin, and my client has grown dependent on it.
Whenever the link dialogue is invoked, all of the drop-down menus are simply blank. I can add a new link to text which I have selected. But after that, if I put my cursor on the link (or any previously existing link) and then click the link button, when the dialogue box opens, the Link URL field is blank too.
I have tried these troubleshooting steps:
Any other suggestions? Please let me know if I can provide any other information which might be helpful.
Thanks, – Paul

I deactivated WP Super Edit and activated it again, but it is still broken.
Tiny MCE remains functional, but without the Super Edit functions. ??
It would be really nice if this could be fixed. Perhaps it’s a simple thing?
]]>I have had a go at adding an extra plugin from the list of available TinyMCE plugins to WP Super Edit. In this case the simple horizontal rule (hr). It seems to work but I am interested to know if I have done it the right way as I can’t find any documentation on how to do it.
I added a line directly into the wp_super_edit_buttons table in the database:
name: hr
nicename: Horizontal Rule
provider: wp_super_edit (though “wordpress” works as well)
status: yes
I did not upload any files.
The drawback I suppose is that the new plugin would get wiped from the database on resetting and perhaps even on updating WP Super Edit?
I know you can easily add TinyMCE plugins to WordPress using the functions.php file in a theme but I want to use the role-based functionality of WP Super Edit which seems to set it apart from other, similar plugins.
Though the description says that this plugin exists, and the screenshots show the emoticon button, there is no such plugin on the “Configure Editor Plugins” list. So what happened to the Emoticon plugin?
Also, one important (for me) button that isn’t included is the Shortcodes Select Button and the ability to enable the linebreak shortcode. These are available in Ultimate TinyMCE, which is what I’m presently using, but that plugin doesn’t have the option of rearranging buttons (unless I pay for it) or the ability to set different configurations for administrators, editors, subscribers, etc. I’m assuming that I can’t use both that plugin and this one at the same time.

]]>I’ve spotted an error in the SQL CREATE TABLE commands.
For the user and buttons SuperEdit tables the create table command attempts to put a default value on a text field. This is rejected by MySql.
Edit the wp-super-edit-defaults.php file on lines 50 and 61 to resolve the issue. You will need to drop and reinstall the SuperEdit options tables.
This will allow the “Disabled Buttons” section of the Arrange Icons editor to work if you were getting a PHP error there.

Extremely feature rich. If there could be a complaint, it would be the learning curve to learn about all of its features… now how well do they all work? We’ll see!
]]>Hi. I’ve been trying to figure out how to remove the default WP styles from the Styles dropdown, but I haven’t had any luck. I was able to get my custom styles to show up through the edit.css file, but I’m afraid that all the “extra” styles at the top will just confuse my client…is there a way to get them to not show up? In case it helps, I’m trying to remove ‘aligncenter’ ‘alignleft’ ‘alignright’ ‘wp-caption’ etc.
Thanks in advance!
