It doesn’t float the post up to the top. I would also rather see some kind of small brightly colored icon instead of “Sticky:” appended to front of the title. Basically I like how Drupal does it.
]]>Hi, I have an issue when I edit field Announcement Banner at plugin settings page.
When I type some custom word instead of Announcement it dissapears on blog page and new word is not showen. Moreover when I type Announcement again The changes can not be saved.
I would like also to ask you to add stylization for sticked posts e.g. ability to chnage their background color.
Thank you
Hi, after updating to 4.2.3 i am not able to see “All Posts”.

After deactivating your plugin it works fine.
Thanks for your help.
]]>Hi,
How i can do something that the authors do not have access to the plugin.
Only admin can submit Sticky post.

]]>Hi, I have found an issue of wp-sticky and BBpress; the post appears reversed in chronology order, that is, the newest posts appears in the top of the row (when it must appear at the bottom).
I’ve tested it and this problem is directly related with wp-sticky, it works fine when deactivating it.
It seems to be a light issue,
Do you know how to solve this?
Thanks.
]]>If I’ve understood another thread correctly, it’s an intended feature of the plugin that announcement posts now add the word ‘Announcement’ into the post title, and it was a bug that this didn’t show before.
In that case, I’d like to make a feature request: an option to turn this on or off. I certainly don’t want it, and it would save us having to edit the plugin every time we update it on any site.
]]>Hi, I’ve found this plugin very helpful but I got this error message when activating the plugin:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for sticky_the_title() in /var/www/vhost/mysite.com/home/html/essential/wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky/wp-sticky.php on line 199
I have bbpress installed also, not sure if it has some relationship with this issue.
Do you know how can I solve this warning?
Thanks!
Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version of WP Sticky. I have my home page set up as an ‘announcement’ post. Since the upgrade, I now have the words Announcement: in front of the title.
Check out my blog and you will see what I mean : https://powerbankreview.com/
I now someone else who has the same issue after the recent update. Prior to the upgrade, I did not have this problem.
How do I get rid of Announcement: from the beginning of the title?
Thanks,
Franc
Hi all, I am new to this forum and hoping someone knows the answer to a question I have been pondering regarding the Pinboard Theme on WordPress 3.5.1.
I have created a website https://www.lacasaitaliana.com.au and have created 3 “Posts” (with a featured image) and made it a “sticky post” in the “Standard” format. As expected the images loop to the next after a few seconds which is great however my problem is that a user can click the image/post and it directs them to another page.
I thought of removing and editing the permalink but as expected, that won’t work. A few posts on this forum have indicated it’s not possible either. Other posts talk about going into the css and modify the code but having said that, many posts also say that is not the ideal way in dealing with this.
Would anyone know of a simple way of doing this? So the images which appear are not links.
]]>Hi, I was happily using wp-sticky on my new website for a few weeks, and then logged in this morning to see an update offered. Accepted. But it could not complete. So I went and downloaded a new copy of wp-sticky and uploaded that to wp-contents/plugins, but the zip file won’t extract even though the wp-sticky.zip is sitting there in my plugins folder looking quite normal. This is the error message I get:
Archive: /home/diann/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/diann/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky.zip or
/home/diann/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky.zip.zip, and cannot find /home/diann/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky.zip.ZIP, period.
Anyone help?
]]>Hi!
Is there a way to make WP-Sticky compatible with WP No Category Base?
The latter removes ‘/category’ from the category permalinks and thus WP-Sticky’s function check_in_category() is unable to detect it.
It’s a shame it doesn’t work. I did before I decided to remove the /category from the permalinks. It’s really a nice and easy to use plugin.
Hope you can find a solution to this issue.
Thanks a lot.
Michel
I installed wp-sticky 1.50 and it worked fine for my posts. However, when I activated it my bbpress powered forum disappeared. I all topic threads and posts were not showing. I deactivated the plugin and the forum returned to normal. So it was no big deal but if you are running bbpress don’t use this plug-in until they figure out how to make it compatible. I’m not advanced enough to dig into the code and come up with a fix myself.
]]>when I removed wp-sticky using the remove feature in the plugin, all my pages and all the posts were deleted, or so it seems….
They are still in the DB. The site says NOT FOUND. The dashboard show 0 Posts and 0 pages.
I still see them in the DB.
any suggestions on fixing this?
I tried what jnorion did, but not luck..
Be sure you have a back up before you try this plugin..
]]>I am currently using 3.1.2 but I have seen this issue with 2.9 version as well. This plugin is no longer supported I believe..?
]]>I have a network installation used for project management at mydomain.com/client/. The installation has a number of sub-blogs in folders below that (i.e. mydomain.com/client/proj1, mydomain.com/client/proj2, etc.).
After installing this plugin at the top level and clicking “network activate”, pages and posts stopped showing up in the sub-blogs even though they were still correct in the database. From the front end, it simply gave me a not found message for posts and pages. At the back end, the post/page managers showed a correct number of posts at the top (i.e. All (17), Published (10), Drafts (7) ) but then says “Posts Not Found” underneath and gave me no option for managing them. This was true both for already existing posts and new posts which were created after activating the plugin.
After deactivating the plugin (I deleted its folder rather than deactivating/deleting from WordPress) the posts reappeared and everything’s acting as normal.
I’m using WP 3.0.3 with a custom theme, modified from Twenty-Ten source. I deleted the plugin without remembering to look at the version number, but it was installed from the WordPress plugin directory on Dec. 28, 2010.
