When I ��Save�� in Visitor Statistics Pro on the ��Traffic�� page, I am suddenly looking at the first page menu of Solostream WP-Radiance theme and changes were automatically made in the theme. To get the site back to the way I want it, I have to go to the theme Basic Site Settings and change Default Page Layout back to “Content-Sidebar Narrow.” And I must turn off Top Navigation Style Settings Display Top Navigation to “No.”
There is no link to show because this happens under password as administrator and only shows up on the site if I forget to change the theme’s settings back. Now that I’ve located the problem, I manually make the changes after the errors are made.
Although I bought the pro version a few months ago, I just installed it the other day. Also, I don’t know how to change the code, but I will appreciate any help I can get on this topic.

I installed WP Visitor Statistics on a website and it works fine. For the client, I created a new WP user with the role “author”. In WP Visitor Statistics’ settings under accessibility, I gave access to the role “author”. Although when I log in with the client user, while I can see the WP Visitor Statistics tab, the fields are empty. Only [wsm_showGenStats], [wsm_showGeoLocation] etc is shown. What could be the problem here?

]]>Hi! I’ve been using WP Visitor Statistics on a few sites now and TODAY (4.17.2024), I found out some of the plugin installation directories are open to index listings (since no index file is in those locations to prevent directly listings). The directories are:
wp-stats-manager/images
wp-stats-manager/languages
wp-stats-manager/includes
Would it be safe for me to put an “index” file in those directories or to otherwise block index listings of those directories? I don’t want to interfere with the function of the plugin, itself.

]]>We have a client who is using your plugin. It takes a long time to load results on the backend however and sometimes stalls completely. Developer console says that there are several “PHP Errors in Ajax Response” that seem to be coming from line 1221 of the wsm_db.php file. Are we missing some configuration to remove this error and get the results to load quicker?

Only if I give to the author the admin role then he is able to view the statistics. Any idea how to fix this problem? I use the free version of the plugin and a Divi template. 1. When looking at reports like traffic by url/title, it’s limited to 50 items. I want to see all data. Is this possible please?
2.I develop?the site on a staging domain and when I’m happy to release a new version, I push the staging version over the top of the main website Naturally, when I do this I lose all of the data that has accrued for visitor stats. Any ideas how I might be able to do export the data to import after pushing my site please?
]]>We have an old site, version 3.8 installed. On the new site version 6.8.1 installed. On the page Traffic Sources > Referring Sites I see differences, look at the srceenshot:
The Referral Websites table is missing, the calendar is not shown.
I see there are an empty area “Drag here the boxes”, but from where?
At the top there is a screen elements section, but only the two boxes are listed and checked.
The table I would understand to be <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Recent Visitors by IP</span> has disapeared… It used to list IPs with location (city & national flag) and history on clicking the IP. Is that a bug?
Also, in the General parameters tab, there’s an Anonymise IP option (which I have never clicked). What does it do, since the IPs are already anonymous? Is there a relation with the first paragraph?

I purchased the pro version, but the Geo Location map does not work. The map is visible, but not the users on it. The Countries and Cities are shown of recent users online, but so not on the map in Edge or Chrome. I have the pro version especially for the geo location map.
I disabled Wordfence, but that didn’t solve anything. I use PHP 7.4.33.

]]>Recently exported my test database and tried to import into my production database (after deleting and recreating it). Get a 1227 error (Access denied; you need (at least one of) the SUPER privilege(s) for this operation) when attempting to import the test export file into the prod database. My service provider says I need root access to the server to import the file, which I don’t have on this shared server. The file creation that is causing the error is “wp_wsm_bounceVisits” which I assume is part of the WP Visitor plugin. At this point my production system is down because I get the same error if I try to reload the original production database export back.

]]>Hello, 3 weeks ago, I sent an email with the details of this error I’ve been having on the Pro version. I haven’t heard back anything, despite sending a reminder, so I figure I should try here.
All the links/options work flawlessly, as far as I can tell, with the exception of one. When trying to view the Traffic Summary, I am greeted with an error message, which varies slightly depending on the browser used.
Under Firefox, it only says:
“An error occured during a connection to.. “
But under Chrome, I get more details:
The webpage at?https://<domain-name>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wsm_traffic?might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR
I’ve tried different browsers, cleared cache, tried in Incognito mode, tried from a Ubuntu desktop, tried from a Windows desktop, and get the same result.
As stated before, all the other menu options work fine. It’s only the summary one. Any idea how to fix this?
]]>When my Shield Security plugin is enabled, my Visitor Statistics Pro plugin refuses to show traffic history. The page loads, but the results area is empty.
If I disable Shield Security, Visitor Statistics starts showing results again.
Checking the console (F12) shows an empty result, there is nothing there to tell me if or what the conflict is.
Can you help me with this negative interaction?
I did open a thread at Shield (over here) and they mentioned it would be better to open a support post with you because “We don��t have access to their plugin, but they��d have access to ours to see what the conflict might be.”
