Doesn’t work. Terrible UI. No clue why this even exists or is allowed to exist. Total waste of time. Don’t bother.

I was unable to use this, and the owner followed up and issued me a full refund. Thanks very much!

No idea why there are so many poor reviews but this plugin works great. WordPress lacks tools for spelling check and correction and this particular plugin has done the job while I work on new blog posts. No complaints so far.

I hit the max number of free pages and so paid for upgrade and uploaded and activated upgrade. It sent me in a circle where it said I only have the base version so I don’t need an API key, it wouldn’t recognize the API key and told me to click to their website to upgrade. But that didn’t do anything. I circled between my website a few times and their website locked me out. There was no way to click through to support without logging in. When I finally reached support they told me they could go into my site to try to fix it or just give me a refund if I prefer. They seemed too quick to want access to my site and too fly by night for me to trust them with access so I chose refund. At which point they said i didn’t meet the requirements for a refund and refused to give one. I feel scammed frankly. Whether they are inept, dishonest or both I would not recommend dealing with them or using their glitchy app.

Great idea, was surprised it seemed to be the only plugin of it’s kind. Disappointed to find it does not work and just spins in circles.

And it’s not close. Moe was on the phone with me, emailed me, over and over and went WAY out of his way to help fix the issue, as well as help point out some other issues he saw on my site that suggested I address.
The plugin works great, and the Pro version has all the features and extras I’d want.
Excellent.

Two problems for me: all my British English spellings were highlighted but I didn’t realise it would leave the highlights on my published page!

I could not get this plugin to work properly and have no idea why.
Support was completely unresponsive.
If you Deactivate and Delete this product it does not completely uninstall as when you re-install (Trying to fix the problem) both the API key, configurations and databases are still there so none of these are deleted when you uninstall it.
I do not recommend it.

Ran it for two hours and all I got was a spinning wheel showing it was in process. Tried to communicate with the developers via their web site form and the response was my submission could not be sent at this time. Waste of my time.

Are you insane? $7 a month for 1 website? It’s highway robbery and there are other free options. Uninstalled, just read all the other negative reviews. I highly doubt the positives are all valid users.

Completely useless, waist of money…

Useless. Pro do not mark mistakes in WP 5.5.

I have several hundred products that need to be checked for spelling errors. I was so excited to find this plugin and immediately installed it. It did nothing for me. It looks like it only scanned 33 posts and didn’t report errors that were helpful. The write up on the free version of the plugin gives no information about the plugin’s limitations. Instead, they spend time trying to convince you to sign up for the pro version. If I don’t like the lite version, why would I want to spend anything on the pro version?

I spent 1 hour going through the garbage that was popping up like spelling mistake for prices and such. After actually adding all those to the database I could see the spelling mistakes. I went another 1 hour correcting them all. I then go to the live site and nothing has changed. still the same errors. Cache cleared on nginx, wordpress and cloudflare and nothing!
Plus guys as I found out the hard way, even if this does work it only works on 22 pages or posts, which you have no choice in which ones it chooses.
The main fact is this plugin did nothing except for waste 2 hours of my time.

I rarely write reviews, but the support team at Wp spell check is one of the best support teams that I have ever dealt with. If you do have an issue with the plugin, (and admit it, sooner or later some issue comes up with most if not all software). Anyway, knowing that there is a skilled and knowledgeable support team that responds right away is all you can ask. 5 Stars!

I really wanted to like this plugin.
I am a writer. I learned spelling and grammar in school, but I am human, so I make mistakes. This sort of utility can be very useful to save time with editing. The spelling checker in Microsoft Word is a model of a spelling checker for me. I wished that this one were similar.
I am developing a site with about twenty articles (posts and pages) and about 40,000 words.
On one hand, it did catch two spelling mistakes in the first post, and I thank the developer for this.
On the other hand, I tend to write in the active voice already, and it is NOT an error to write “to be” sometimes, contrary to what this program flagged.
It also changed upper- to lower-case at the beginning of post, including the title and the first sentence. I could repeat this error of the plugin. I had earlier watched the video about how to use it and did nothing unusual.
I am writing in English, but preparing for translation, so I started to use it post-by-post. (If you scan the whole site, even with one translated post, then all of the words in the other language are flagged as errors.)
The most disappointing thing about this plugin to me is that it injects html code into my text, such as “<span>… hiddenSpellerror… </span>”. In other words, the buttons “Highlight spelling” and “Highlight grammar” do not only display what the developer considers errors (many of which were not errors, in my view), but pollutes my posts with their injected html code! Please do not hide anything in my posts.
I de-activated and deleted the plugin, but only discovered the polluted posts after viewing them again.
It took me hours to switch to text mode and to delete the injected code.
I believe the the developer’s intentions were fine. I urge them to use Microsoft spell checker as model – and to let the writer keep control of their text, please, specifically to inject no html in the post or page.
If you are not a writer, then perhaps this would be more useful to you.

From the usage I have had, it seems to do what it is supposed to do; that is, correct my misspelling.

I have been looking for a plugin that could spellcheck an entire website for common misspellings and this plugin does just that. You can download the trial version to test it out on your site for page content and post titles. If you want more features, then you should buy the pro version.

Loaded it on my staging site and let it “process” looking for spelling errors for over an hour and nothing ever happened. Now when I try to deactivate and delete it won’t let me. Have tried to do both numerous times and it just stays in place. Terrible experience

Hard to get immediate support.

Too many things didn’t work or had bugs. I was using it on a development site, which perhaps caused some of the issues, but that would be a common use case. Final straw was the additional html tags injected in my original content. I really wanted this to work as it has great potential.

I installed this as I wanted to ensure that my spelling was up to scratch on the content I published but this plugin ended up Error 500 my site. Had to contact my hosting provider to get them to manually remove it as I couldn’t access my site nor control panel at all.

I understand you wanna advertise your premium product – but sticking banners at the top of every page just makes me delete your plugin.

The people that gave this a positive review are either incredibly bad writers or they know the guy that has this plugin and are simply trying to give him a good rating. The plug in WORKS. Logistically. However, functionally? It sucks. I just wrote out a sentence riddled with errors:
well, this just goes to show were going to have to wait until next tuesday for the new Update. in the meantime, we will need to consistntly blah blah blah.
The thing completely skipped the lowercase in W(ell), the upper case in U(pdate), the lower case in T(uesday), the lower case in ‘In” it skipped “consistently” entirely lol. You get the drift. It skipped everything that was wrong lol.
I hate grammarly because they do not work well with WordPress. But I would use them over this plugin any day of the week lol. Come on, guy. You could have had something good here!

It helped us to find lot of hidden content on the site that was hurting us with SEO. lot of Lorem Spam here and there and multi languages details we didn’t see. The template had many small things which we didn’t use and they are all discovered. I am like this plugin a lot.
Thank you

This scans and then does absolutely nothing. The ultimate irony was when I clicked the “report a problem” link and that won’t submit either. This thing is just broke. Hope this reviews saves someone some time.
