For the first version, I only have two social options available, Facebook and Google plus. You need to add either the Facebook user ID(numeric) or Google plus id in the corresponding fields. You can find your Facebook user id here

I like what this plugin says it can do, but I can not use it since I do not allow users access to the back end.

Is there a way for this to work where the user sets the option through the front end profile settings in Buddypress?

I have checked some of the ones that don’t work and the Facebook account is still active. However when trying to access the generated link to the image, Facebook returns the following error:
(#803) Cannot query users by their username

I read that with Graph API Version 2.2 the possibility to fetch a user by name was removed. Is this the problem? I haven’t checked them all, but maybe it is Facebook business pages that still work, but personal pages don’t?

Hi,
I downloaded the plugin and then installed it via add new plugin and then activated the plugin when I was prompted and then when it refreshed to my plugins I could not access my website. It just gives me a blank screen. I have tried navigating to my login page, my contact us page, individual articles and so on but still get blank pages? Can anyone help me out with this please.

I just downloaded the WP Social Avatar which I think is a good option instead of having to use the Gravtar, however I have included the Google + Id and clicked to retrieve the avatar but the pic does not appear. I tried it again with Facebook and it works perfectly with Facebook however I would like to have the Google plus option as well.

Hi, there does not appear to be option or docs on setup/use of a cache folder, which would normally be inside the plugin folder, or sub-folder of the wp-uploads or similar. Where is the cached image being written? When I switch on the plugin, it doesn’t seem to work, but may be due to most themes hard-coding the call to gravatar for an author bio box. When I click “clear cache” it says “try again” which might presume no cache to clear in first place.

Does the plugin work by just putting in any handle, whether it’s owned by the person or not? Could a user put in handle of someone else’s Facebook account and use their avatar by pretending it’s them?

Thanks for this! A nice little plugin. As a minor enhancement, I would encourage the setting to placed under Settings > Discussion along with the other avatar options, rather than on its own page, so as to not unnecessarily grow the admin menu.
