For the paid version, you should offer other designs: hearts, pumpkins, eggs, holly etc. So we could use the plugin on different occasions or holidays.

]]>Hello,
Today I discovered that all submenus where I have activated the plugin are no longer showed up.
I have bought the pro version last night but had to deactive on the bought version of my website as all submenus were not showing resp. no longer accessible.
But you can see the homepage I indicated above which is active with the free version with the same behavior. On portfolio for example should appear drawing, illustration and so on.
For both websites I use the same theme.
What could be the matter that the submenus are not showing up?
Thanks in advance for any hint.

Brigitte
Hello, I wanted to run the plugin but it doesn’t work. Actually, I wanted to buy the PRO Version but since it’s not working either the free version the pro version will probably not work at all.
Can you maybe check? Thanks a lot in advance,
Regards, Brigitte
I’ve created a patch for your plugin to work with WooCommerce if it’s set as the home page.

Good afternoon. On the version WP 5.2.3, the plugin version 1.1.9, raises a TypeError: jQuery (…) error. JSnow is not a function.
How to fix a bug? thank
Wordfence scan reports the following problem:
Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/wp-snow-effect/includes/wp-settings-framework.php
Type: File
Issue Found 7 Apr 2019 6:14 am
Medium
“This file belongs to plugin “WP Snow Effect” version “1.1.8” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by www.remarpro.com for this version.”
The comparison between the two is that the WordPress distributed file contains on line 511 screen_icon();
but the modified file on my server is missing that. PHP notises say screen_icon() is deprecated so will keeping the revised file cause any harm?
Hey ho, happy new year!
I wanted to use this plugin, but somehow I get the error:
jQuery.Deferred exception: e.indexOf is not a function TypeError: e.indexOf is not a function
I’m using jquery-3.3.1.min.js
is there any way how I can use this?

Hi there,
Thanks for a festive plugin! ??
I’ve just come across a bug. I note that it was raised some time ago too, but not detailed enough to be resolved there.
If you set your homepage as a static page (that is, it doesn’t contain your blog posts) then the plugin doesn’t honour the “Show on … Home Page” option.
The issue is with line 108 in class-wp.snow-effect-public.php
, which is supposed to check the homepage option. It’s checking by using the is_home()
function, which is historically badly named, as it only fires on the blog list page, irrespective of whether the blog list is on the “home” page or not. So when the blog posts are on the homepage, the plugin fires, but when the blog posts are on a separate page, it doesn’t.
More properly, line 108 should check for is_front_page()
, which fires on static home pages. However, if line 108 is thus changed, other changes are also necessary, because:
1) is_page()
(on line 109) also fires on a static home page, so if you’ve set the plugin to show on your home page, but not on other pages, then line 109 will conflict with line 108 and switch the plugin off; and
2) (as now) there is no way to specify whether the plugin fires on a blog page that is not the home page.
If lines 108 – 111 are changed as follows, it resolves: the bug; problem 1; and a partial fix for problem 2:
$show = true;
if (wp_is_mobile() && $this->settings['settings_show_on_mobile'] != 'mobile') $show = false;
if (is_front_page() && $this->settings['settings_show_on_home'] != 'home') $show = false;
if (is_page() && (!is_front_page()) && $this->settings['settings_show_on_pages'] != 'pages') $show = false;
if (is_single() && $this->settings['settings_show_on_posts'] != 'posts') $show = false;
if (is_home() && (!is_front_page()) && $this->settings['settings_show_on_posts'] != 'posts') $show = false;
if (is_archive() && $this->settings['settings_show_on_archives'] != 'archives') $show = false;
Notes on the “partial fix for problem 2”: There is an additional line for the non-homepage blog list setting (checking with is_home() && (!is_front_page())
). I have assumed that if someone wants to show the plugin on the individual blog posts, then they will be fine with it showing on their non-homepage blog list page. This seems to be a reasonable assumption.
Ideally another setting could be included for this on the plugin’s settings, but I’ve opted here for a minimalist approach — fixing the bug, without getting into a whole new load of work changing the customizer and settings.
Hope this gives you enough info to fix the bug for the next festive season ??

This is absolutely festive!
I was wondering if it was possible to situate the location to the top only so that when you scroll down it the snow flakes stay up. Is this possible? can it be possible?
