Please use plugins_url() instead of WP_PLUGIN_URL, otherwise plugin url is always http, but my site works with https (ssl).

I have a wordpress site that is using the Skitter slideshow, which was working fine. I then moved the wordpress site to a new server and am getting the message: “Error loading images. One or more images were not found.” on the frontend. When I go into the backend setup for the slideshow the images are showing in the preview panel on the right. I looked on the server and the images are there and they have a file permission of 644.

I tried removing all the images and just inserting 1 image from the media library, but still get the same message.

Skitter Slideshow version: 2.3.4

I’m experiencing a problem of hidden drop-down menus with the skitter slideshow on WordPress.

With the first image the drop-down menus are only hidden by the label background. when arrives the next image it’s the whole menus that disappear and reappear beneath the slideshow…

My configuration : WordPress 3.6.1, twenty-twelve child theme, skitter slideshow included in the header.php file of my child-theme by if ( function_exists('show_skitter') ) { show_skitter(); } just before </header>.

I’ve tried to change all the parameters of the plug-in, and to add a z-index=10000 to the .nav class in my CSS. Still KO. I read that it could be a problem of CSS with overflow:hidden, but the plugin CSS is full of that!

Good morning all, I wonder how do I choose the target links from banners slide. For now by default the links of banners can only open in the same window, which would be interesting and choose the link target option in the slide, I found this in the plugin, which for me is the best.

Hi, I installed a plugin called Types to create a custom post type for the slideshow posts. When I move the posts into this custom post type, the slideshow disappears. I checked the settings for Skitter and it shows the category and that there are 5 posts in there. Any idea why they don’t show up. Do I have to change the code to add the custom post type?

I have modified the code in the wp-skitter-slideshow.php file so it shows more elements in the <div class=”label_text”> (not only the post title but also <hr /> and post except). However I am unable to make it display the category name of the current post.

By analogy to the 'label' => get_the_title(), in the query_posts( $query_posts ); section I added another call to the <div class="label_text"> – <?php echo $skitter['ctg']; ?> which is ascribed to the function get_the_category().

No success so far. How can I accomplish that? Am I missing something?

It seems that the slideshow has to load every picture before starting, this can be very problematic when there are many images.

I have about 25 slides from prosts but i want to show only 5 but random, and when i put 5 and select show_randomly true it random the last 5, it dosent select random 5 from the 25 sliders.

I finally managed to figure out why this was happening. Basically Skitter is taking the first image of the post as the image to be shown on the slider, not gettin’ the featured image.

I believe Skitter should get the featured image, as it normally full size. The first image on the post normally is posted as thumbnail (small sized).

I wonder how I can make the Skitter get the featured image of the post, not the first image (thumb) of the post.

That would solve my problem once and for all.

Hello.

I use Skitter Slideshow for a long time in the front page of both of my websites (https://www.gamefm.com.br and https://www.tecnoetc.com.br) without any kind of problem.

But, out of nowhere, the image quality of the slideshow of both sites is really bad. I guess that has something with the 3.5/3.5.1 update in WordPress. The slideshow has a custom size of 900X350, and all the featured images has the exact same size. The slideshow image quality used to be superb.

Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone know what might be happening?
