Hi Matty,
Does this plugin work with the latest WordPress iteration? Would love to give it a test run.
]]>good evening
I have been working on our site https://www.bml-llc.com and have set up section indexing and part of it is working but the page FAQ which is what it is really for appears not to be working.
A blank widget appears on sidebar but that is all.
Was looking for more detailed instruction on how to use but could not find any.
Any help would be appreciated. I am not a programer by business owner.

I have deactivated the plugin but would like to continue using it.
]]>Hi Matty,
Suggestion for a future version of WP Section Index: Allow more than one header type to be listed in the index.
In my articles, I use H2 as main headings and H4 as subheadings. It would be nice if BOTH of these could show up in the Section Index. It would be even nicer if the H4 tags would be indented a bit so that it’s obvious that they are subheads.
Thanks again for the excellent plugin.

Hi
It would be excellent plugin I exactly needed, if it works in FF…
Links are broken if title constains special characters, eg. Russian cyrylic or Polish (???ó??).
Could you find any solution, please?
Hi,
thanks a lot for the plugin, it works great for me.
I have a question concerning a special case though: I created a page as template where I did not enter any content through the post editor, but instead I hard coded all content into the template instead (mainly because of lots of PHP code that would mess things up otherwise).
For such case, the section index does not display in the sidebar; I assume that is because it only looks within the page content section for header tags.
Is there a way to make it work for hard coded content?
Thank you for your help, kind regards,
Steffen
Hi
First thanks a lot for the great plugin!
I have a problem with paginated posts: The widget displays all titles which are inluded in the post without problems, but if you click on one that isn’t on the first page you get a 404 error (even if you are currently viewing this page). The problem/bug is that the links aren’t the same way as the real structure:
My permalink structure is the following
/%post_id%/%postname%
and (for example) the link to the second site of the same post is
/%post_id%/%postname%/2
but the plugin “assumes” the following
/%post_id%/%postname%2/#Title
I didn’t find an option to correct this – could you please include one or tell me how I can fix the problem?
Thanks!
Linus
]]>Whenever the wpsi_disable_index
option is activated, it creates a custom field visible in the user’s Custom Field list in the Post Edit screen. This should not happen.
Plugins should create their own postmeta fields with an underscore at the beginning _wpsi_disable_index
so that they do not show up in the custom fields box in the post edit screen, which only confuses users.
Thanks.
]]>Thanks so much, I have single posts that consist of multiple 650×1200 jpgs. They need to be single posts so they can be downloaded as a single pdf file. Without this plugin the scrolling would have been never-ending.
I have a question, since the navigation widget is on the right, it would be convenient if the “Back to top” at each heading was also on the right.
Was wondering if you might suggest a way to do that..
thanks
]]>Great Plugin! It’s just what I needed. I might choose to plop the widget at the top of each page, even.
The one thing that is challenging is the fact that it skips headers that have tags within them. I know that this is known. The only challenge is that I’m using another plugin, Table of Contents Creator, and in order for certain headers to show up in the Table of Contents, I have to put tags inside of the header tags. But if I do that then the header doesn’t show up in the Section Index. Oh no! Catch 22.
Any thoughts? Would it be possible to enable the plugin to just ignore tags that are within headers?
:)! Thanks much.
