Just downloaded this plugin because I though it would solve my problem. Instead, it just throws an error when I try to save a post:
Warning: basename() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in …/wp-remote-thumbnail/wp-remote-thumbnail.php on line 97
Looks like it’s the same error that was reported over three years ago.

This plugin looks like the answer to my issue, but I don’t want to start counting on a plugin that is dying. I see it’s been 11 months since your last update, are you going to revive this plugin or let it die?
Thanks
Matt

Curious to if this plugin saves the image to our media library or not?

I searched up and down for a plugin like this but all the other ones failed to crop the images correctly. It also works with woocommerce products and crops them correctly as well. I am glad the plugin was free but would have certainly paid for it. It is lightweight without a ton of unnecessary options. The only thing missing and it is a luxury really is to access it from “Quick Edit” and not have to open up the entire post or product page. Otherwise, simple but stellar plugin that solves a major problem!

Works right out of the box, absolutely no hassle! Should have been the first one I tried. ??
Thank you! Finding things like this and it works right off makes participating in my hobby lots more fun and oodles easier! I prefer leaving the things I can’t do to the ones who can.
I owe you a cup of coffee, I just have to figure out how to get it to stay in the envelope!
