I love the author’s enthusiasm in maintaining this open source tool. But I have to point out, and the author implied in the README that this plugin uses QuickLaTeX.com to render your latex code.
First of all, there is a privacy concern as QuickLaTeX.com sees all your latex code, whether in your public page or private.
Second, the usability of this plugin depends on QuickLaTeX.com. If QuickLaTeX.com is down for maintenance, no new latex code will be generated.

I am extremely sorry for writting this review but people must know this plugin is outdated.
I had massively used it since 2016 and have worked really well. However, during the last years / months it has not received enough updates (last update 3 years ago, not even “tested” on WP 6).
It has gave problem some times (not rendering equation due to server problems or whatever) and since yesterday it hugely lags my website. This was the last drop to take the decision to change the plugin as it seems it will have less updates time to time… So I had to adapt all my posts (more than 100 full of equations) to another plugin that seems to be more active and has future.
Thank you for creating this amazing plugin but if you are a new user don’t get used to it / adapt equations to this plugin.

It is an incomplete plugin. Tables, for one, are not supported. As such, it should not be promoted as a full-featured Latex plugin.

Needed a plugin that would allow me add mathematical notation to web pages / blog posts. This one seems to be perfect for my needs, and worked well once I worked out that you need a shortcode block for the “latexpage” but all the rest of the content can go anywhere. (WordPress newbie here!)
Initially I couldn’t get the LaTeX content to appear inline with the rest of the text but the plugin author was very helpful in resolving that issue, which was caused by the theme’s CSS settings. In case anyone else needs the solution, here it is:
1. Find a CSS file belonging to your theme that contains “img{display:block; …}” – 2. Remove the “display:block;” bit and save the file.
3. Clear the browser cache using Ctrl-F5.

Best plugin for Latex Equations

I was looking for a latex plugin that accept packages, such as physics package, to be imported. This plugin does exactly the job, and it has lots more features.

Some sloppy code in there that I had to manually fix. Also, this plugin was last updated 2 years ago. For example, 'eqlabel' > null
has broken a multitude of websites.
Obvious fix is to deal with the typo, which shows me they didn’t even test before deployment. For those that need to fix it before moving to something better, here’s the “obvious” fix for that “eqlabel” snafoo:
'eqlabel' => null
You can fix that in the plugin file at /your-websites-root-directory/wp-content/plugins/wp-quicklatex/wp-quicklatex.php

Although it has not been updated for a long time, it works perfectly.

For my regular posts I used JetPack renderer ($latex … $)
However, it is not available in BBPress forum. Though QuickLaTeX is per default neither available, this hack solves the problem

@antonv, thank you, keep up a good work and I suggest to integrate the support for BBPress by default.

I made the mistake of disabling this plugin on my site and went with Beautiful Math as I was trying to reduce the number of plugins on my site. I discovered one of my earlier getting random errors and no response from jetpack. I knew the error was not due to latex syntax as was being claimed, I am fairly proficient in Latex. After messing with several other plugins (I had forgotten the name of this plugin) I went back to one my earlier backups and there it was. Thank God for this plugin and fullsite back ups.

Works like a charm. The support is very nice as well :).

In case it’s not readily apparent, this plugin allows for using LaTeX almost as if you’re using it offline with a LaTeX editor. And no, we’re not talking about just single line formula and texts here (as other LaTeX plugins do), but stuffs like table, matrices, TiKz, itemized/enumerated lists (using the [latex mode=1] tag), references (e.g., \label, \ref), etc.
In addition, by adding relevant packages in the preamble, you can extend its functionality beyond bound. Some have used it to produced chemical formulas/structure diagrams, but for us, we might prefer using it for Fitch-style natural deduction tables.
When combined with other shoftcode plugins, the result is a powerful 21st century pedagogical tools for the millennials and others alike, such as this module on the derivative of inverse function: In short, the development of this plugin needs to continue - as the world of mathematics depends on it (i.e., some math WordPressers like us!).

This plugin is very easy to use and supports many more LaTeX packages and features than most plugins since it interfaces with a web service that provides a full LaTeX implementation. The author responds to issues very promptly. So far, I’ve never encountered any significant issues and everything has worked very well. The images look great; they default to SVG, so they are scalable and high-quality. I have three primary requirements: to render inline mathematics (obviously), commutative diagrams, and arbitrary drawings; this plugin supports TikZ and xy-pic (and a host of packages that are common among LaTeX distributions) which fulfills all of my requirements. It provides local caching of images; you can also use it with WP Super Cache and a CDN (content delivery network) for improved performance.

I have used jetpack and mathjax in the past but rendering was slow. This plugin does rendering so nice and fast. I wish that paypal support payment from my country which unfortunately does not. If any day paypal supports payment from my country I will definitely donate every year for this great plugin. I want from every one who uses this plugin to donate and support it.
Regards.

I had tried to boost my blog writing using a LaTeX plugin with high customization and great performing. This plug-in fit all my needs. Even the only problem I have faced, due to a bug, was quickly solved by the author/s! I can only recommend you this plugin to blow and increase your LaTeX editing in your site!!!
To the new users: try it if you are going to write math!
To the authors: many thanks to provide us such a wonderful tool!

I got going with it fast! No hurdles. It was easy to install, and it is easy to use. It offers a global settings page that lets me include all of my \usepackage{} in just one spot. That is great. I do not have to include that in every post anymore. QuickLatex also offers settings for font size, cache, image type and more. I just think that QuickLatex has an edge over “WP Latex” and “Jetpack Beautiful Math” when it comes to settings. Also, Pavel (the author) provides support via e-mail. Very helpful for someone new to Latex.

It allows custom preamble with most packages available (even TiKz), and there are options for sitewide, pagewide or local implementation. It is simply like writing LaTeX on the internet. Many mathematicians crave the ability to put mathematics online without kneecapping the page loading speed, or having someone else decide what packages you can use, or running your files through a LaTeX–>HTML converter. With further developments in the pipeline, this could become the de facto way of writing equations on WordPress.

The only one so far which has everything I needed. And renders equations better that any other latex plugin.

This plugin is awesome. It does understand latex code. Moreover, it creates vector graphics rather than bitmap, which is a useful feature.

For many years I had a wish: to write my own math notes on the web. And this wish come true. Best LaTeX plugin. Deep respect and gratitude to the authors.

I tried Beautiful Math in JetPack and MathTex Equation Editor prior to QuickLaTeX. They both had aggravating bugs, wouldn’t display the simplest equations properly, and only inserted .png images of your equations (which looks pretty cheesy). QuickLaTeX works beautifully, has many advanced formatting features, is well documented, and inserts .svg graphics which scale perfectly and look elegant at any zoom. I use https://www.hostmath.com/ to build my LaTeX strings, drop them into my blog, and QuickLaTeX renders them perfectly. Highly recommended!

This one seemed to work best.
1. Allows you to load LaTeX only when you need / want it.
2. Allows you to load multiple packages
3. Plugin author has excellent support

This is the most impressive LaTeX plugin I have seen. Congrats!
A small suggestion. Please publish some info for other plugin developers about applying your filters. We had to dig a little bit (with the help of a customer) until we found that we had to add quicklatex_parser to our quiz plugin filters. It seems that [latexpage] isn’t true shortcode.
