Hi! I’ve added the Publications Archive Widget and can only get it to work if there are no filters on Category. If a category filter is added, it finds no publications. I have screenshots of it working for all and not working for any form of filtering.
We have one posted publication with the category in the second picture.
]]>I have my publications displaying using 2 filters. Any publication with either of these categories assigned is being displayed. [wp-publication-archive categories=”2017,water”]
I would like to know if there was a way to display only publications with both categories displayed?
Thanks!

]]>Hi
I have transferred my files from one host to another by importing my .xml file.
Unfortunately, my publications no longer work in WP Publication Archive (please note, I did not move the database).
Could you let me know which file is the data stored in, so that I can upload it to my new host so the publications link to the files as before.
Alternatively is there a way to export the data file from WP Publication Archive and import it into another?

]]>The plugin has been working fine for several years, but after a wordpress update a month or 2 ago it is no longer possible to download any documents.
Clicking a document view or download just makes the browser wait forever and no document is shown.
I got the category archive shortcode to work with one category but not another. In addition the Archive and single publications pages seemed to be broken. I do not recommend this plugin with the latest WP version 4.4 ??
]]>First I’m really new at this so it is most likely my fault and therefore due to stupidity on my part.
I followed the installation instructions unzipping the file and loading wp-publication-archive folder as instructed.
I installed and activated the plugin.
Then came step 3 use the “Add Publications” menu to begin adding publications.
Where in the heck is the “Add Publications” menu?
If I can find that then I can see if step 4 works for me.
I know this must be a great plugin but By the way if it makes a difference I using weaver pro as a theme.

I have a query regarding plugin.
How users to upload, manage, search, and download publications, documents, and similar content ?
There is any Short code or function to show form on Front End for User.
Thanks
]]>I was running into this problem when trying to view or download files:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/public_html/wp-head.php:37) in /home/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-publication-archive/lib/class.wp-publication-archive.php on line 199
For those having the same issue, I was able to fix it by adding the following code to my functions.php file:
//allow redirection, even if my theme starts to send output to the browser
add_action('init', 'do_output_buffer');
function do_output_buffer() {
ob_start();
}

]]>I am using latest version of 2014, and can make a list of my publications with the [wp-publication-archive] shortcode.
But should the plugin also be able to make a search?
I am not getting a search-field by using the [wp-publication-archive] short-code. Should I?
Should’nt the plugin be able to search in the tags i am setting when i publish?

Is it possible to limit the total number of publications displayed? I am displaying a list of newsletters and would like to display the most recent 6 – so when I add a new one the oldest automatically drops off the list. I don’t want the ‘next’ option displayed – I suppose the alternative would be to just use CSS to remove the ‘next’ button but I might need this for other pages.
]]>Good morning,
I’ve been looking for more detailed information on this plugin on security issues, but I have not seen if this plugin is included within its features the detection of virus in the climbs that are made of different files as me nothing to install this plugin as a repository of files without the assurance that I can detect virus-infected files.
Another question I ask me and is, you can limit the size of the files you want to upload?
thank you very much
]]>When people search for publications on my site, and click on a given publication from search results, the publications display skewed, and i can’t even get close to click to download. Are there known plugins that don’t work well with this widget? Here is a sample page to see where the error is happening. https://www.appliedcontrolequipment.com/publication/cw-micro-technical-specifications/
]]>I have what seems like an obvious problem, but I can’t seem to figure it out. I’ve set up WP Publication Archive (thanks!!!) and have created a new page with the
[wp-publication-archive]
shortcode to produce a list of my publications. So far so good. And when I look at that list, I see entries like this:
The Title of My Publication
(January 8, 2015)
My-file’s-filename.pdf View | Download
Summary: This is a brief summary of the contents of my publication.
Also good (and very nicely formatted, I’d add).
The problem is with this line:
My-file’s-filename.pdf View | Download
Clicking on My-file’s-filename.pdf does nothing.
Clicking on View takes me to a full entry for that publication.
Clicking on Download takes me to a full entry for that publication.
None of these links allows me to download the PDF!!
This is also true on the publication page itself — that is, clicking on View or Download just takes me back to the publication page. I never get to the PDF.
Am I losing my mind? Missing something obvious?
Thanks!

Is it possible to get this plugin to display single publications without pushing the sidebar out of the way?
]]>Until I turned off W3 Total Cache, I was getting scary-looking cache errors instead of page content whenever I tried to view a “publication” I’d created.
Once I turned that plugin off, my content appeared, but shoehorned over into the right-hand sidebar along with the meta links, etc. The page’s main content area was blank.

]]>The summary of each archive is being inherited from the main page content and not the publication itself. It was working before we updated to the latest version of wordpress and the plugin. What changed?
Each publication listed through a shortcode with a category has the same summary.
]]>Hello, is there a way to get the publications to show in more then one column on a page.
Thanks
]]>Hi Eric,
Thanks for this great plugin. I’d like to suggest the shortcode be improved with two more arguments: orderby and order.
Your code already has these internally, setting them to ‘post_date’ and ‘DESC’, respectively. The user cannot change these settings and it would be very useful to allow the user to choose other settings, such as orderby=’title’ and order=’ASC’.

Hello
I have used this plugin before in the past and it’s great so I decided to use it again only I have found an issue…
When I go to the Publications menu and select categories it has the categories I use in posts and when I add one it also adds it the post categories. I would like separate categories….is this an issue or is this what it is meant to be like?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
