It works really well… but, you have to make sure the change is made in wp-config.php. In my case, it changes all the prefix in the database, but for some reasons not in the file. I made it manualy and everything went fine.

Easy to use and work perfectly. I try rename prefix in database and reconfig wp-config but it an error occur but when I use your plugin it work perfectly.

This erased the prefix and set it to null in the config file. Now I cannot update the db file or restore it from a backup without null for the prefix. Further attempts to use the plug in only updates the config file.

Does what it should.
I made the mistake to change table prefix with installation by thinking it would increase security.
But as you can read here, it won’t: https://wpkrauts.com/2015/the-database-prefix-is-not-a-security-feature/
After all the hustle it gave me to sync between production und development i chose to switch back to the default prefix.
This really helped.

もうひとつ別のプラグインで Change Table Prefix というのがありましたが、
そちらは失敗したという事例がそこそこあり、結構強い口調で作者を批難している方もありましたので
こちらを試したところ何の問題もなく完了しました。
手動でやると結構面倒ですが一瞬で終わりましたね。

5 stars when it’s fool proof. Once it gets updated to check that it can write to the wp-config.php first and then stops and doesn’t change your database tables if it can’t, then that’s a 5 star!
I’m a fool and didn’t check my wp-config.php was writeable before running the plugin, even though it clearly mentions that you should! This is not the plugin’s fault, but mine.
It won’t save you from yourself and it will continue to allow you to run the plugin and update your table prefix even if it can’t then write to your wp-config.php
If you do this, like I did, then you will end up with your site redirecting you to /wp-admin/install.php – this is not a big problem as you can quickly fix it by editing your wp-config.php and changing the $table_prefix = 'newprefix_'; line to match the new prefix.
So yeah, does what it says it will, warns you not to be stupid, but won’t stop you from being stupid. With the addition of saving you from yourself this would be a perfect 5 stars.

the plugin tells that ‘wp-config.php’ is edited successfully. but thats wrong (in my case). perhaps its locked? — the ‘error’-message should be programmed in another way!

The script is doing what it’s supposed to be doing but will leave the permissions on your wordpress config files wide open.
The script is calling for a @chmod( $path, 0777 ); which will give read/write access to your main wp-config.php file to anybody on the internet.
Huge security risk. I wouldn’t install or use this script until this is patched.
