Hey,
I’ve got a site set up, which I’ve installed this plugin on, I’ve set it up to trigger by class and ive set up a button with the class but no matter what I do, the button will not pop up. There is nothing in the debug and nothing in console.
Any ideas what would be stopping the pop up?

Hello,
We are running on PHP 8.2
And we are getting following error message.
[04-Nov-2024 11:46:09 UTC] PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property WPPopups_Popup::$need_ajax is deprecated in /www/wp-content/plugins/wppopups/src/includes/class-rules.php on line 227
Is this something that can be fixed?
Thank you
Just installed the pop up on this website. Using the free version for the moment. When I’m logged into the back end of WordPress, the popup shows up as it’s supposed to. However, when I log out of wordpress, the popup DOES NOT show up at all. What am I missing? Thanks!
Hi there!
I made a popup in my home website. The whole popup is an image with a link to another part of the home page. When I click the image, the website goes down to the correct place, but it doesn’t close. I set “close on conversion” to yes, so it is supposed to close when I click, right?
The .spu-box.spu-position-top-bar
element looks great fixed except when a fixed header exists. It will overlay and cover the logo, navigation, etc. Or, in the event the z-index
on the header is higher, you will not see the top bar pop-up at all. How would you recommend targeting the header or pop-up top bar banner to “push down” the fixed header when a top bar element is present?
For example, if my

was top:0px;
I could move it down if a user is logged in to make room for the WP admin bar like body.logged-in header { top: 34px; }
Is there something similar, whether via JS or CSS to target the header knowing that a top bar is present?
Thanks!
When trigger using the Watch Video button, the popup fires but Vimeo video embeds do not display. I checked that they can be displayed on the page below the button. But for popups they do not display.
I am not sure when this started occurring, but I have popups setup so they would only display to logged out users, so the Global rule was “User is logged not equal to True” – this is now preventing logged out users from being able to trigger the popup, which is done with class triggering on an html element. The main rule is “Page type is equal to All Pages”. There are no other rules. I have experimented with some other popups and it is the same with those as well. I also tried, as an alternative, setting “User role not equal to…” all the roles on my site and this too prevents logged out users being able to trigger the popup. One other thing I should note is that “User is logged equal to True” is also preventing popups being triggered when users are logged in. It seems that all the User display rules may not be working properly. I have also had problems with the Buddypress display rules, a couple of which are both a little unclear and also seem to prevent triggering when they shouldn’t – these are the “is the Profile page” and “is the User page”; it is not clear if these refer to any Profile or User page, or just the specific user and their own page, and I am also not sure what is meant by the User Page as opposed to the Profile page as they appear to be referring to the same thing – any explanation would be useful. Can you investigate all of this please? If you need to look at my site there are a couple of pages publicly accessible but everything else requires being logged in – but it is free so please just create an account if you need to, and I can make that an admin if you need to look at my popups. At the moment though I am in the process of removing the problem rules, and checking as I go (I have quite a few popups!).

This is a very odd issue that might be hard to understand, and it is very difficult to know what is causing it, and I should add that I am not saying your plugin is. I created an ad in Facebook to promote my site, but instead of running it as an ad, I created a post from it. The post included the call to action button ‘Learn More’ which takes anyone who clicks it to my site. However, alongside the button is the usual things – name of the website and what should be (I assume) is the excerpt or first few lines of text from the page; but what is appearing are the lines from a popup I created, and it is not even a popup that appears on the url linked to, or one that should appear to logged out users.
I have tried creating excerpt text for the page in question, and in that popup have changed the Display Rules to never show it on that page, or to logged out users, but neither have had any effect. I have tried changing settings in the Facebook Ads Manager relating to this ad post but that also doesn’t change anything (unless cached versions aren’t clearing on Facebook when browser cache is cleared).
Have you encountered this before and do you have any ideas or suggestions how to avoid this happening? I suspect it is a Facebook issue but my efforts to get any suitable response, or any response at all, so far have failed.

If I add the embed code as a HTML gutenburg block on the page it displays. That means the code is proper. Interesting that the popup works if the embed is on the page too.
I also tried using WP code and placed a short code in wp popups content. That did not work either.
Any ideas?
How do I redirect to other page after submit form? I found only option to close the popup
I have a page with a popup configured to show after 10 seconds. I am setting a cookie when the user closes the popup to prevent the popup from showing on subsequent visits. I also have a button on the page that will show a second (but identical) popup. I am using two popups because if the user closes the first popup, the button will not function (because of the cookie name).
Is there a way to configure a popup such that it will not show automatically if a cookie is set but still allow the user to open the popup manually with a click?
My use case is this: A user visits the page. They are presented with a popup allowing them to enter their email to subscribe to a newsletter. If they close that popup, they should still have the ability to sign up for the newsletter. (In my case via a “subscribe” button that shows the popup.)
Thanks.

Hi,
I’d like the popup to be shown on all pages but, if the user then opens another page, the popup should not reappear.
Is there a setting that makes the popup appear only once per session?
My goal: people who switch from the home page (where now the popup is set to be shown) to other pages don’t have to see it for every page they visit in the same session.
Is it possible?
Thank you in advance
Hello! I updated to 2.1.5.6 and the iframe form in my popup disappeared. Rolled back to 2.1.5.5 and the issue was fixed. FYI for future updates.
Hi,
This is a bit of an edge case, and I have already raised this with Simple Memberships as I think it is more of an issue with how their plugin operates, but I’m also posting here in case there is something I can try to deal with the issue. Basically I have a login link which opens the SM login form (shortcode) in one of your popups, which works great; however once the login is done, and the logged in page is loaded, the popup reappears with the users login details (and the url has the popup reference added at the end e.g. /#spu-form-7579). Can you suggest any way to prevent this? The popup is set to only appear to logged out users but that has no effect, and obviously I don’t want to set a cookie to prevent it reappearing because a user might logout and then immediately want to login again (I don’t even know if this would work anyway). It is easy enough for users to dismiss the popup but it is a bit of an irritation, and so far anything SM have suggested hasn’t worked.
Hi,
I have been having problems with the cache on my site not working, and I have discovered that your plugin is one of two causing the issues. Having looked at the plugin files I have found this file – wp-popups-lite/src/includes/functions.php – and in it a section (pasted below);
/**
* Clear all Cache
* @return mixed
* @since 2.0
*/
function wppopups_clear_caches() {
// WP Rocket
if ( function_exists( 'rocket_clean_domain' ) ) {
rocket_clean_domain();
}
// W3 Total Cache : w3tc
if ( function_exists( 'w3tc_pgcache_flush' ) ) {
w3tc_pgcache_flush();
}
// WP Super Cache : wp-super-cache
if ( function_exists( 'wp_cache_clear_cache' ) ) {
wp_cache_clear_cache();
}
// WP Fastest Cache
if ( function_exists( 'wpfc_clear_all_cache' ) ) {
wpfc_clear_all_cache( true );
}
// WPEngine
if ( class_exists( 'WpeCommon' ) && method_exists( 'WpeCommon', 'purge_memcached' ) ) {
WpeCommon::purge_memcached();
WpeCommon::purge_varnish_cache();
}
// SG Optimizer by Siteground
if ( function_exists( 'sg_cachepress_purge_cache' ) ) {
sg_cachepress_purge_cache();
}
// LiteSpeed
if ( class_exists( 'LiteSpeed_Cache_API' ) && method_exists( 'LiteSpeed_Cache_API', 'purge_all' ) ) {
LiteSpeed_Cache_API::purge_all();
}
// Cache Enabler
if ( class_exists( 'Cache_Enabler' ) && method_exists( 'Cache_Enabler', 'clear_total_cache' ) ) {
Cache_Enabler::clear_total_cache();
}
// Pagely
if ( class_exists( 'PagelyCachePurge' ) && method_exists( 'PagelyCachePurge', 'purgeAll' ) ) {
PagelyCachePurge::purgeAll();
}
// Autoptimize
if ( class_exists( 'autoptimizeCache' ) && method_exists( 'autoptimizeCache', 'clearall' ) ) {
autoptimizeCache::clearall();
}
//comet cache (formerly zencache)
if ( class_exists( 'comet_cache' ) && method_exists( 'comet_cache', 'clear' ) ) {
comet_cache::clear();
}
// Hummingbird Cache
if ( class_exists( '\Hummingbird\WP_Hummingbird' ) &&
method_exists( '\Hummingbird\WP_Hummingbird', 'flush_cache' )
) {
WP_Hummingbird::flush_cache();
}
return true;
}
Can you tell me why this is necessary? I use your plugin extensively to present forms to users, and having the cache purged constantly is causing both the site to be slow and resource usage spikes on the server. If it is necessary I am going to have to find an alternative way of presenting forms to users, otherwise can I delete this section, or is there some code I can put in my theme functions to prevent it running? I don’t understand why it is needed, and if it isn’t why there is no option to turn this off. Please help me understand.

Using the latest version of the plugin and latest WordPress and PHP 8.1 I’m getting the following in my debug log, multiple times (I am assuming for each popup):

Hello,
Is it possible with the WP Popups plugin to create multiple popups and show one of them randomly while also setting the percentage of time each popup should be shown?
For example: Show Popup A 50% of the time, Popup B 30% of the time, and Popup C 20% of the time.
Is there also reporting for when each Popup was shown and if it (or a button in the Popup) was clicked?
Thank you.

Any ideas to resolve?
Hello,
I am using your plugin with pleasure, but I have a little issue. In the Forminator form plugin, when I try to select a date using the forward and backward arrows in the datepicker field, the popup form that opens is closing. Only the datepicker remains on the screen. How can I solve this problem? I have tried alternative popup plugins and they don’t have this issue, but I prefer using WP Popups and would like to resolve this problem. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
