I go to wp-admin

click settings

click on Google +1 Button Settings

currently the checkbox for “Show the +1 button on posts” is checked

but I can’t uncheck it

anytime I click (to uncheck) and hit “Save”, the checkbox is still checked.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

This is not a support request!
Just want to advise of a conflict with Skysa Facebook Like App
When the Skysa plugin is enabled, the Google plus button “dies” on hover or click.
This doesn’t happen with the Jetpack Plus1 button so is likely a java conflict.
I’m leaving the Skysa FB active for a few days so you can see what happens. Sample page https://tech.graphicline.co.za/content-creation-and-management/basic-writing/ Skysa FB will be removed eventually
More Info:
Intially the button is active, even opens the share box on hover. If the box is clicked, or just the button, the button becomes just an inactive image.
Deactivating Skysa fixes the Plus1 button

we have just upgraded the wordpress version. After the upgrade we noticed that the plugin is working but not in all pages (we don’t know if this has been going on even before the upgrade, the problem might be there long time… we just noticed)
plugin version: 1.9
wordpress version: 3.4.1

When I use the button to +1 a post on a blog it appends the blog title, and I’m not sure how to remove this.
i.e.:

Blog title is : My favourite recipes
Post title is : Tomato Soup

Sharing title (that appears on G+) will display as Tomato soup My favourite recipes

I would like it to just say Tomato Soup. Any suggestions?

As title says, when I have redirect enabled, +1 clicks does not count. It goes blue for a moment, but when I return back to page I have plussed, it shows nothing. But without redirect, it works fine. Any suggestions?

I’d like to have even more control of where this code appears on my client’s site. Shortcode is great but that would require my client to always put the shortcode in at the beginning of every post.

What is the code I would use to insert this into the single.php file?

In other words, is there something like a “if function exists” kind of code I can copy and paste in place? I have done this with a number of plugins like pixopoint menus etc.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

This plugin initially seemed decent… added the Google +1 to the site.

I had it up for a few weeks before I noticed that it added this sneaky little ad at the bottom of each page in a font that was hard to see: “Google plus one provided by free online casino” with a link to https://online-casino.eu.com/.

There was no option for turning this off. I found this to be a very deceptive way of embedding a link on my site, which I didn’t appreciate. I removed it immediately and gave a 1-star ranking.

I have found that the button does not render in all browsers.
Fine in Safari (latest), firefox 6, opera 11. It will not appear in firefox 3.6, safari iPhone, and opera 10. Random selection I know! I will check IE tomorrow and post back on this but I thought this was odd behaviour and I wondered if anyone else had had this issue?

I have un-checked the +1 button count (and clicked save) but it is still showing on my posts. Any ideas why that wouldn’t work?

Google is updating the +1 button functionality. I was just wondering if this plugin would require an update to take advantage of the new functionality.

My site is corruption-watch.com, with a theme similar to Drudge. I want the button to appear only on the homepage, but when I deselected posts and selected pages and hit save settings, your plugin always selected posts as well as pages. This caused me to get a +1 button under every link on my homepage.

I’ve deactivated the plugin now. If you see a +1 on my page it’s because I put it in manually.

I messaged you on Twitter a couple of weeks ago about an issue I am having with it not showing up on my main page. I’m running WordPress 3.2.1 with WordPress theme Twenty Eleven 1.2.

I have the plugin working great on all of my pages/posts but it does not show up in the sidebar using the widget. I believe all my settings are correct, is there something I’m missing?

Plugin works, but the instructions should be more clear for novice users. The correct installation instructions are to upload the entire “wp-plus-one” FOLDER, not just the php file.
