I tested only the localization improvements, and performed 10 reloads of my posts’ dashboard, removing the fastest and the slowest measurement, calculating an average.
With the localization improvements; average: 216ms
Without the localization improvements; average: 252ms
When editing WordPress websites an entire day, even a few ms adds up. It’s a pleasure, the dashboard refreshes faster.
Have not tested any image or CDN performance improvements since they do not really apply to my setup. It’s nice that each feature set can be enabled or disabled on its own.
I hope this plugin will continue being updated, until WordPress core gets rid of the apparently less efficient methods of backend localization.
This test was performed on WP 6.2 and PHP 8.1

Thank you for this plugin. It is really great.
It’s a pity it’s no longer maintained (or so it seems).
I adapted it to suit my needs, but won’t go any further. For instance, I modified an other plugin to gain WebP capabilities, having this second plugin work right after WPPP.
Hope the dev will get free time to spend on this.
Anyway, a sincere “thank you” for your work.

Very worth your time! The only plugin which helped me to upload a whole album of pictures without waiting a day. Awesome dynamic image sizes!

If you install Query Monitor and check before and after, the Localization settings alone will improve WP Admin performance a lot, at least 30% for us.
Whatever you are doing and know – please keep doing it dude.
Thanks for the much-needed Admin performance recovery boost!

I’m only using the localization part of the plugin and it works very well, the site becomes faster and consumes less memory.

All images had their permalink changed permanently and all images are now broken. Removing the plugin had no affect. Complete restore required.

I’ve deployed three WP sites on the rather new MediaTemple Premium WordPress service. It’s been great so far and seems to be a better deal than the competing services like WPEngine and all, but they do a lot of custom caching so they disabled access to optimization plugins like Super Cache or W3 Total Cache.
One of the sites I’m managing has many images and photo galleries, so I wanted to move all that to a CDN, like MaxCDN. This plugin is pretty much the only one that truly works and supports WP 4.0. Also, two of the sites I was talking about are localized, so the option to use a faster translation is great! Bonus points for mentioning useful plugins, like the Debug Bar. I am a web developer by trade, but I don’t interact with WordPress or PHP at all, so those were very helpful.
This is probably how plugins should be written: it does just a couple of things (localization improvements, image handling improvements and adds CDN support), but it does them well. Five stars.

Broke my images on my site when I tried to uninstall it. Now Every last image is showing {{wppp//}} in the url field for the image and renders as not found. Frustrating.

I logged this before but I do not see it, so here it is again.
What is the difference between FRONTEND and BACKEND please?

Excellent Plugin! I hope that you will continue to support it for a (very) long time. I am too with the bunch that don’t understand all the potential of this plugin, but it surely helps. Thank you very much.

Although I didn’t really understand all features and options, I give it 5 stars because it is very promising and will certainly be of great help for people running multilingual sites.

I’m not sure I understand all this plugin makes but if you use a non-english version of WP, give it a try: your admin will be faster.

Awesome! I was looking for ways to reduce the memory consumption of my sites, and your plugin has reduced on average 20mb in a BuddyPress site with plugins and add-ons for BuddyPress, and 25MB on a site with just a few caching plugins, SEO, among other.
PS: I liked the option of remove the translation of the dashboard
