Hard to see the use in this plugin as it doesn’t override the WP-core settings re soft/medium/hard passwords. So, no matter what settings you put, the WP-Core settings (since the Billie release) are more onerous and still need to be met anyway.
If the plugin could compensate/override WP-core password policy, then it might become relevant again.
Unless I’m missing something!?

[UPDATE]
My site is back up and running. I now see it was NOT this plugin, but a theme update issue I was having that gave me the error. This plugin seems to be working very well, actually!

I downloaded and activiated the plugin, and upon doing so the front and backend of the site denied me access, saying “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” I had to delete the plugin to regain access.

the plugin crashed our server requiring a manual reset of all users

The features offered in this plugin should really be consider for inclusion within core. It has the potential to secure so many sites. I know it can be annoying to change your password every x days, but this plugin really makes implementing a security policy easy within WordPress. I’m installing it on all client sites now.

Awesome support. Emailed me a code change within 2 days. (maybe less because of time differences).
This is EXACTLY what I need to keep all the users of an intranet using STRONG passwords.

Great plugin, but make it translatable, please!

This is a great plugin to control user account passwords. In a time of high electronic use and data exploitation, it really has become necessary to set more stringent password policies, and to force users to change their passwords on a regular basis. This plugin executes this process seamlessly!
Also, the development team provides timely, helpful support!

Does exactly what it says on the tin, removing the need for writing wppmpp.tmp.js would make it a 5-star

It′s a good start.

To be fair, it does say it has been tested to 3.9.1. But WP4.0 has been available for several weeks now.

Not working, at least in our setup (WP 4.0 and BuddyPress). In fairness, we have not tested without BuddyPress.
Thanks for creating this plugin, we will keep an eye on this as it’s needed. Honestly, this should be a part of the WordPress core.
