Hi there,
Firstly, thanks for providing this great plugin to the WP community!
I was wondering:
1) Is this plugin still being developed/supported?
2) Is it compatible with Visual Composer? I’ve tried on my site, but it isn’t working there and so I was wondering if it’s just on my site that it isn’t working or if it’s with Visual Composer in general.
3) I’ve tried to use the ‘Custom Field’ option as I’d like to filter posts by a custom field containing dates. However I can’t find the custom field that I’d like to use under ‘By value of a custom field’, and so I was wondering if there’s a way to manually add non-listed custom fields?
Hoping to hear back from you and many thanks,
Jonas

Hi,
when I try to display posts by author the order is changed but with some strange discrepancies (starts in G, after Z there are a few post in random or another order that I didn’t understand and then A to F).
(I read older topics and must say that I am not using another plugin for this purpose)
Another problem concerns the option “ascendent”, which I would like to choose but I can’t.
]]>Hello, Uri!
Can I ask you to try to implement an order by recent comment date? Sort by recent comment date and post date if there are no comments. This is forum-like behavior.
Thank you!
]]>Hello!
Just wanted to test if it is possible to use WP Order By to order posts by the recent comment date: hoping, that Last Modified Date might work.
Unfortunately, I can’t get the plugin to work. Here the steps:
– install and activate WP Order By 1.4.1.1 (WP 4.4.2)
– Go to Posts, change Order By to, say, Random and click Save Changes
– reload my Blog page, but the posts order is still ‘Date Created’
– tried to change the WP Order-by General (Global) Settings, but they does not seems to work as well
Am I doing something wrong, or I just don’t understand how this plugin works?
Help, please! Thank you!

]]>Hi
Great little plugin. One thing is missing though: the option to sort date from old to new, reversed from the WP standard way.
Would you be willing to add this option?
Thanks!
]]>Great plugin! Is there a way to exclude a specific category? I have two separate blog feeds (from two different categories) being pulled into the same page. I need one blog feed to sort alphabetically and the other to sort descending chronologically. Possible?
]]>Hi,
The question I have is whether I can filter my posts by two filters. Here is what I am trying to achieve: I already have a page on my site that displays the 24 most recent posts in a certain category, going from newest to oldest out of the most recent 24 posts. I would like to change this so that it still displays the 24 most recent posts, but out of those newest 24 posts on the page, they are in random order. So, I would have to set the plugin so that it does not change which posts are on the page(the most recent 24), but it randomizes the posts that are on the page. Is this possible with your plugin, or will it require php editing?
The page I am referring to is here
Thanks, Will
]]>Hi,
I have installed your plugin and set the order to random but I can’t see any difference on the frontend. Could you please describe what your plugin actually does, i.e. which “order” is changed? I thought it changes the date because posts are often ordered by date on the site.
I am trying to randomize the dates of all my posts of a certain custom post type.
Thank you.
]]>I’m also getting a fatal error, this time on line 63 of admin-options.php

Hi!
After activating your plugin and chosing an ordering option no posts are shown anymore at all. Neither Pages nor Posts. It doesn’t make any difference, what ordering option I chose.
Any suggestions how I could trackdown the issue?
Do i have to add specific hooks somewhere in my theme to get your plugin to work?
btw: I’m missing a <don’t order by plugin> option ??
EDIT: Im running wp 4.3.1 with version 1.2.1 of your Plugin
