]]>Hello – this plugin is proving to be a lifesaver!
I have an old theme (working to upgrade over next few months) but need to keep the current theme up and running.
There are a lot of custom shortcodes in my pages – and I don’t want to work on changing too much of the site just yet, not to mess up the desktop version or creating lots of work when we’re going through an upgrade in a couple of months.
Using the delete shortcodes option in the setting isn’t working (unless I’m doing it wrong)!
Is there a way of adding or hiding content with shortcodes on the pages? [is_mobile][/is_mobile] or [is_desktop] [/is_desktop]?
I have tried installing wp mobile detect but I have a mobile_detect.php conflict with my cache plugin – WP Rocket.!
Thanks and look forward to hearing back!
]]>Just installed the pro version of WP Mobile Detector. It seems to work OK – expect that menus don’t show up on some of the themes and where they do they list every single page and the blogroll (which i don’t use) the meta stuff etc. All i want is the equivalent to my top menu
Any ideas anyone?
]]>Hello,
I am using the WP Mobile Detector plugin version 3.2. Apparently, when I go to the Mobile theme settings page in the dashboard, it gives me a blank screen, not giving me the option to select different themes. I have tried installing the latest version 3.5, it still gives me a blank screen.
I have tried deactivating all the plugins, giving permission 777 to the folder, and still it does not work. I am using the latest wordpress 4.4.2.
Thank you

For the Fortinet story click on “This Update”
The URL is
https://nc3.mobi/references/2016-unknown/#0122fire
and on a computer it works.
Under mobile viewing it appears as though
https://nc3.mobi/references/2016-unknown/#0122fire
appears for a second then is replaced by
https://nc3.mobi/references/2016-unknown
this appears to happen with ANY link that contains an anchor. We think this problem appeared with the most recent update.
also – the footer about “comments closed” and the header about “author” do not appear in regular use, but DO appear under mobile use. We don’t want them to appear.

]]>Hi
Just pourchased the pro version for another client of mine and hoped the set up would be as easy as my previous client… however…
I am trying to use the 2014 theme for the mobile version of my website, however it fails to show any of the content, which is built as splash pages. On the main site we use a custom theme based on 2011, which I don’t want to use on the mobile as it is not at all mobile friendly and does not have the mobile menus etc…
Would I need to include the page template files from our custom theme in the 2014 theme files to get our listings in the splash pages to show up? I am not a programmer so my apologies if this is a stupid question.
Kind regards
Heather
Hi,
great plugin, but I have strange behaviour in some installations.
The plugin only works on the front page. All other pages, posts etc show the desktop site on mobile devices.
The Google Chrome mobile emulator app shows the desktop site.
The WP Mobile Detetctor emulator hangs after clicking an internal link.
Firefox for Android hangs after clicking an internal link.
Chrome for Android hangs after clicking an internal link.
Check for yourself at Postkarten Paradies
I’m assuming that since the latest update the font colors in my mobile site have been changed to gray. This clashes with background and made site unusable / unreadable. The text heading inside the widgets on the site is also gray.
I have had to temporarily go into each page and physically change text back to yellow. (which now makes it hard to read in the editor)
]]>Internal and external links in posts and pages aren’t working with the free or pro version of the plugin.
This also means that the plugin doesn’t work with our wp-ecommerce plugin
]]>Hello:
WP Mobile Detector Plugin still seems as though it is active on my website https://www.adamsmale-jazz.com, even after deactivating AND deleting it from my plugins.
There must me some residual code that is changing the look of the site on both phone and tablet.
How do I repair this? I want it to revert back to the way it used to look on a phone and tablet.
]]>Hey there,
When running PageSpeed insights, the mobile tab shows I should optimize a few css files.
When I added these css files to minify in W3 total cache they seem to have no effect when i run PageSpeed Insights again.
The puzzling thing is some of these css files are shared between the desktop theme and the mobile one… The desktop tab in PageSpeed Insights reports the css file has been optimized (it nmo longer reports it as a “should fix”) but the mobile tab reports its still a problem.
Any ideas as to why? Love to get this one fixed.Cheers!
]]>Hi,
you have a great plug-in that I am testing in a couple of installations before buying.
It worked fine of one of my client’s MU installations until I upgraded the plug-in to 3.1
All three plug-in admin pages come up empty.
I re-installed the plug-in but get the same issue.
Any suggestions?
Txs for the help

]]>So incredibly annoying. Your plugin has stuck my admin/dashboard to the plugin page…can’t get out of it…can’t delete the thing from the page. Is there another way of getting rid of it then having to go to the trouble of FTP??
Please don’t build things that are so wonky that they screw up people’s administration access. Bad!
]]>Hello,
I am using my own template with your plugin and I have these problems with that:
1.) it is not possible to pass on https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=blog.vaclavambroz.cz
Is any solution for this or must I have responsible CSS without your plugin?
2.) I dont see my sidebar on mobile page on the end of the page – I dont use any widgets. Any solution for this?
Thank you very much!
]]>Hi,
I’m using this plugin in one of my website, which has a high number of visitors, and everytime I enable it my website goes down.
I am using WP Super Cache and I think it is not caching the mobile version of the site and it is causing the issue.
Any help?
