Hi, please can you tell me how this plugin is supposed to operate when used on multiple sites that are all on the same VPS?
I currently have this plugin installed on around 20 sites, all on the same VPS and it looks like the plugin is only posting 10 posts every 10 minutes across all of the sites and not doing 10 posts every 10 minutes for each site, so posting is very very slow. Is this normal or an issue? Either way, can I fix this so I can have 10 posts posting every 10 minutes for each of my sites?

]]>Hi I love your plugin but when I add more than one category to my posts your plugin chooses the wrong /%category%/ for the permalink
WordPress (by default) creates permalinks for the /%category%/ using alphabetical order.
I have noticed that when your plugin is turned on, the preview link created on is built using the ID and chooses the category with the smallest ID.
Do you have a patch for this?

I set the DISABLE_WP_CRON back to the default since you believed that stopped your plugin from working.
I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, and I still don’t see anything show up in the cron events.

Hi,
I updated yesterday to WP 4.4. Today, a scheduled post was missed and we published it manually.
I looked in my cron list, and didn’t see anything that looked like the plugin’s event was there.
I deactivated, and reactivated the plugin, but I still don’t see anything.
I am using this version of the plugin.
Version 2015.0207.2314
Here is what WP is showing in my Cron list right now.

Hello,
WP Missed Schedule Plugin has not been working as designed. We schedule posts for future dates and we are getting error that post were missed.
Is there a new release or a bug fix for this plugin. I currently using this version 2014.1231 – Revision 2015 – Build 2015-09-26
Hello there!
I am getting this notice… any idea?
[28-Jun-2015 17:33:28 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: wp_scheduled_missed in /httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/wp-missed-schedule.php on line 244
]]>Why do we need a plugin to fix something that is a native issue in WP? I can only imagine if this issue is being caused by another plugin conflict but I’m sensing that’s not the case.
]]>Hello, thanks for the great plugin!
We have another plugin which simply adds the text “Sponsored” next to the title of certain posts. This is done by checking a box in the post editor which then updates the postmeta table with an “on” value for that post. The issue is that WP Missed Schedule seems to clear that database entry. I see the proper entry in the postmeta table when I schedule the post, but when I check back once the post is published, it has disappeared. This doesn’t happen when I disable WP Missed Schedule.
Any help you might have would be appreciated.
Thanks!
]]>Unfortunately I still have posts that are not posted. I am using WordPress 4.2.2
]]>Hello, I am on WordPress 4.1.1 Multisite.
When on individual websites I do not see the “WP Missed Schedule” available.
I went into the settings and checked “Enable administrations menus” but it still does not show up.
When attempting to Network Activate it, I get this error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
`Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_SL in /[WEBSITE-PATH]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/wp-missed-schedule.php on line 259′
How can I fix this?
Thank you.

I’m one of the Jetpack plugin authors, and I wanted to see if there was something we could do to help with this statement in the plugin’s readme:

Thanks!
]]>Thanks for great plugin.
But how to config this plugin work with custom post type ? My site using “product” instead of “post”

]]>Hello I am having problem with wordpress 4.0 missing scheduled plugins so tried this plugin..
I had 59 missed scheduled items that went back 3 months.. I was hoping this plugin would reshedule them or drip them out but after activation it published all 59 missed scheduled posts at once ??
should this happen?
or is there suppose to be some control, I do not see a menu item for the plugin, only the links for cron and missed in the plugins details within the main plugin page. I would have thought clicking on missed would show me list of items that missed their schedules and then I could select what I want to do with them.

]]>Hi,
It’s possible to replace WP Cron with a real cron job, as illustrated here: Link. Assuming that this real cron job is set to run every 1 minute, will this plugin still be needed?

]]>hello,
Recently I installed the plugin and since then, the mysql is falling and with “Can’t connect to MySQL server on ” (111).
when disabling the plugin, the service stopped dying.
Any idea why is that?

]]>add_action( ‘init’, ‘wpms_init’, 0 );
That line causes the init function to run on every page load. So, the query executes each time.
Ate up the db connections in a hurry. Totally crushed my server.
]]>Hi,
I use W3 Total Cache, as my caching plugin. I specifically use the Object Cache, to improve the speed of my WP install.
I was doing some testing, to see if I could speed up my site, and saw that many queries were being repeated over and over against my DB. I investigated and saw that data was being stored in the object cache, but found that the object cache was being flushed periodically, about once every 5 minutes.
I tracked the cause being this plugin. It stores the last run time in the wp options table, using update_option method.
When an option is updated, this causes the Object Cache to be flushed, as the options are also stored in the object cache.
This then causes all of the stored data to be flushed and all of the queries have to be re-executed.
I’m pretty sure most persistent object cache’s also flush when the options are ever updated (Super Cache, etc). This increases load on the DB and slows down performance for WP.
Please consider using another mechanism to store the last run time of the plugin. I believe the options data should be pretty much static. It shouldn’t be updated every 5 minutes. It should only be updated whenever the admin makes a material change to WP or plugin settings, which does not happen in the normal execution of the site.
I’m not sure where to store this info though. Because I’m using a persistent object cache, I can make the change in my own local copy to store the last run time in the object cache (wp_cache_set() ), instead of the update_option(). This would work in my case, but would not work for everyone, as they may not be using a persistent cache.
Thanks,
Rich
If my post schedule is missed already, will this plugin automatically publish them?
]]>Hi,
I wanted to ask, how do I schedule this plugin to run every 2 hours instead of every 5 minutes?
]]>Hello,
I just migrated a customer to my service tonight, and found that whenever either of us was logged into the admin area, everything timed out and refused to load. The Apache error logs indicate a timeout:

I went back through the logs on her old host, and found the same issue after February 10th – which is when she installed the plugin. Deactivating the plug resolved the problem 100%.
The WP error log shows the following, indicating a MySQL timeout:

I would be happy to supply additional information if it would be helpful, as I’d like my customer to be able to use your product. I have suggested she update her WP install to the current version, also.
Thanks very much.
]]>Not sure why. But it’s annoying that WordPress still need an external plugin to deal with scheduled posts.
This great plugin exist since a couple years. Then, it’s a WP bug not being fixed since a couple years. What’s stopping them to fix something so simple that can be accomplished with a plugin?
I guess their thinking is: how many people really need and use scheduled posts? not everyone. Less than 10% users? Then use the plugin. Right?
All in all, this plugin should be an embeded feature of the core. Am I so wrong? Please let me know.
Cheers
