Just looked in my error log on server and it is full of these error messages from Malwatch:
[16-Apr-2012 05:02:18] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_plugins() in …./wp-content/plugins/wp-malwatch/modules/scan-htaccess/scan-htaccess.php on line 36
Any help or it is time to find another security plugin??
]]>Does not work anymore. Looks for files that don’t exist.
]]>Sadly, this plugin has not lived up to expectations. To be truly useful a script of this type requires monthly updates (but last update was in 2010?).
I do not recommend this script. You would be better serviced in looking at the actively developed malware plugins with high ratings, like:
– Bulletproof Security
– cloudsafe365
– Jumpple
And monitoring scripts like:
– File Monitor Plus
That said, I’m all for supporting a good malware checking and monitoring scripts, though installing any plugin more than a year old is probably not a very good security practice IMHO.
]]>I’ve noticed that some of the code is using <?= instead of <?php echo.
This should be fixed if you want to avoid breakage ??
I saw the problem in these files
/modules/scan-hidden/views/configure.php
/modules/scan-keywords/views/configure.php
/modules/scan-locale/views/configure.php
/modules/scan-uploads/views/configure.php
/modules/scan-htaccess/views/configure.php

One of these for every day it was installed. Yes, same message on multiple sites. Can’t find a more direct way to contact author. No response to post a few days ago. Just voted “broken” for WP 3.0.1.
]]>Every site I am running WP-Malwatch on generates one error message per day as below:

PHP 5.2.13 on Bluehost.
