I am looking for a simple chat. There is a very complicated configuration here. The system asks about some strange settings. This cannot be configured. Lack of Polish, despite the fact that the developer reports that Polish is supported. Waste of time.

Even when opting for standalone storage (on your own WP server), this plugin communicates with 3CX servers by WebSockets for real-time operations. And all your confidential data are passed through this channel and come to C3X servers without encryption: visitor informations such as name or email address, and every message you or your visitor can send. The “enable encryption” option within the WP plugin has no effect on it.
The data are encrypted in transit (WSS protocol) but can be read on 3CX servers. We find the mention
Chat message content is not logged
on the “external party services” chapter, but it is very unclear that these external services are used even if you choose the standalone setup.
It means for me a major privacy issue, a poor GDPR compliance and, overall, a severe lack of trustability for a solution presented as standalone.

The concept would be great if it worked. The plug-in is aWays showing agents offline, no matter who or whether using a queue. Offline messages are not sent to anyone and the plug-in can pop up for the greeting but not when you start a chat (opens in a new box). Phone system works great, the chat plug-in is terrible.

It works, but requires much more configurability and separate Mobile and Desktop aspect customizations (position, opacity, size, etc.).
Requires also an option to choose windowed mode or embedded for the pop-up chat.

Today I ran into the same error, user “bord1” had five months ago: I cannot see the settings site because <div id=”wplc-chat-container” style=”display: none”>.
Another issue is my access blocking. The wp-admin directory is blocked with a password but as soon as I activate the plugin suddenly the whole website is locked with the password. This makes the plugin totally useless for me.

UPdate 10/9/20 – After latest update it still conflicts with WP Approve (https://en.wp.obenland.it/wp-approve-user/#utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=plugin&utm_campaign=wp-approve-user) plugin, disabling approval of WP users. Regrettably had to deactivate the chat.
Update 6/9/20 – Conflicts with WP Approve plugin – stops admin from approving new user registrations.
After installing this plugin it apparently went through all registered users so as to enable setting up of agents. It felt like some data collection was going on as wordpress became unresponsive. I hope there is no contact data harvesting going on as that would be serious. Agents should be set manually with distinct credentials specific to the plugin. Definitely avoid accessing registered wordpress user data as that sounds malicious.
The plugin settings page would not show until it completed whatever operation it was performing. There was no message suggesting what was going on.
After about an hour it became more responsive and the settings screen actually started working.
It generates odd errors at times, saying some fields were not filled in correctly. Reloading the page and filling the same details again often works.
It can be improved by making the tab vertically flush to screen edges when left or right placement are selected. Also some fonts are mismatched. For example when users are asked to leave a message Name, Email and Phone labels use a different font size. This looks unprofessional.
There are certainly many features but it lacks some polish and can be sluggish.

This was a great plugin, I installed it several months ago and it was just perfect. 5-stars! Then they kept updating it to the point of us just having to uninstall it. Meanwhile, they kept making more changes and updates and as of this week it was functional again. But with another update today, we had to completely shut it off. It doesn’t work at all. We can’t chat with anyone, which I’m sure is frustrating on our customer’s end too when they are sending us questions. So unless you have unlimited free time to mess with this, don’t been bother!!!!

I need something which I can manually include (or exclude) on a per post basis. This plugin as far as I could understand doesn’t allow this, so for me it’s pretty much useless.

Don’t you just love when a plugin updates and ruins everything?
Wish I read the latest reviews before and hope others do.
They’ve made a mess of the chat, reset all the settings, and made it look worse with no options to make it how it was.
Uninstalled and looking elsewhere, glad I never went with the phone systems now.

This was a perfect chat app before the latest update and you cannot even rollback to that version. it is now causing major errors on the site and it is not really usable either. It never lists any active users on the site and agents are not notified of chats. Very unfortunate product decisions made here.

It was great until yesterday, after the last update nothing works.
I tried to uninstall, reinstall, clear cache, nothing to do.
The chat icon has disappeared.
What are these updates for? It was fine before.

You broke what was fine before your company took over. These people do not think about what they do before they do it. Forget about having design continuity, forget about keeping features you like. These folks dont give two flying #*@%$ about anyone who is currently using the plugin without issue. Before this company took over the plugin, yes i paid for it, but i did so because it was worth it. Now these holes make it free (not bad) and strip it of all customization of the design. Now your stuck with this UGLY, unchangeable, default looking, chat box that matches nothing. The $#!^ is trash. Go get live chat or some other plugin with more features and the ability to smartly initiate separate departments by the page your user is on. Don’t be mislead by numbers and reviews they’re old, don’t waste your time i’m sure this plugin will lose numbers under this new companies management. In fact i think it already has. The last update completely broke every icon on my site and caused major conflicts with other plugins like it had NEVER done before. so from a guy who has used them on multiple installation and will not be using them again take my advice and stay away. You get what you pay for!
