[li_profile] doesn’t display anything on my page (https://www.anton-nieuwenhuizen.net/blog/about-me/), but [li_card] does work…
I need my full profile, so need [li_profile] to work… I’ve used the standard/default fields in the settings.

Thank you — I wish all plugins were this easy and thoroughly developed. I was looking for a way to feed my LinkedIn updates into my professional blog at and this widget provided that ability and more. I had a little trouble with the API key which your instructions correctly identified as a server time issue. After that it was smooth sailing to install and configure the widgets. My wishlist would include the ability to configure the network updates more, but that can wait. Thank you very much.

This profile plugin is so much better than the native one provided by Linkedin. I was extremely happy when the default profile image not only fit my sidebar layout better, but the default card color was a bit darker than the bright white in the default. The ability to define what elements of the Linkedin profile are displayed is instrumental.
Additionally, when I couldn’t make the plugin work (because of existing misconfiguration), the developer provided an immediate response. Considering this is a free plugin, I couldn’t ask for more. I would recommend the commercial versions of this plugin to anyone wishing to link their Company profile to WordPress! A+
FYI – In case anyone else has trouble, here’s what I had wrong:
1) Apache did not have write access to .htaccess (because I must have been lazy when I moved the site and used the GUI instead of the shell)
2) I did not have custom permalinks on (required for mod_rewrite to be turned on)

This is a very useful plugin but it has a serious flaw. The code draws upon jquery.tools which includes a tabs function. Any attempt to use WP LinkedIn with jQuery Tabs will fail due to this conflict. To make matters worse, it appears that jquery.tools is no longer supported. It’s website has disappeared and I had to de-minify a dev version of the code in order to hunt down and fix this problem. The solution is to change the line d.fn.tabs to d.fn.xtabs which resolves the conflict.

This was quick and easy to install, and with a little updating of the CSS (very particular to how things look on my site), I had my LinkedIn full profile showing on my resume page perfectly.
My only suggestion would be with the scrolling recommendation short code. I wanted to have them span the entire width of the DIV they were placed in, but, when set to 100%, they were over 30,000 pixels wide. Setting a width based on pixels does not work when your site is responsive. For now, I just removed this function.

I have been trying all possible configurations but it does not work on a WP MU. Just keep in mind before installing.
I receive a message “Your LinkedIn access token is invalid or has expired, please click here to get a new one.” but I keep on creating tokens… trying with all codes shown there (token, secret, etc.) – not much clear what to use because there is no full corresponsance between the plugin config page and the LinkedIn API page.
It would be good to write it clearly in the descpription that this plugin is not supposed for WP multisite to avoid wasting time.
That’s a pity because the plugin seems great for single blogs and other comments confirm it.

Got what I wanted!
Needed to do some CSS work for my install, but plugin is easy enough to decipher. Thanks for this!

Keeps me from having to keep two separate work histories up to date, provides the LinkedIn profile directly on my website.

It’s easy to use. Most of the linkedin profile data can be shown by using this plugin, except the personal projects.

It was easy to get the plugin working and looks good using IE9 and Chrome 33.0.1750.117m on a PC. It does not appear to work on my Android 4.2.2 Galaxy Nexus.

This worked cleanly and easily! Thanks!

I’m not a developer and it did take me a while to get my head around what I was doing but I got it working how I want it – just showing header and recommendations on my Welcome page.
I initially struggled with getting it to work as a widget in the sidebar and then just realised that all I needed to do was to paste the shortcode into the text section of my Page (and delete any unwanted parts of my linkedin profile by going to SETTINGS/LINKEDIN and deleting them out of that box at the top.
Totally simple once I got it sussed. Thanks so much Claude ??

Compatible with WP 3.8 and looks great out of the box! Thank you!!!
Working example:
[ link redacted, please do not post links in the reviews section ]

Plugin has many errors and warning and breaks a lot. Uninstalled it as I can only wonder what other issues it has…

I can’t get the LinkedIn Recommendations to work on version 1.6. I had to use version 1.5.5. But the widget works great in version 1.5.5.

Last time I had to fetch LinkedIn data (before the API existed) the only way was fetching the page and stripping the part of the markup that was needed. Not robust and beautiful at all, but luckily WP LinkedIn seems to be able to pull off the data I need (as a profile fields for one page and recommendations slider for another one) which works great.
I’d definitely move more of the Installation content into the general description as it’s not quite clear and outlined what does the plugin do when you first load the plugin page.

This plugin just works! It successfully gets all my info from my Linkedin profile. I’m very happy with the possibility to choose which Linkedin profile language the plugin should choose.

Does exactly what I want – brings in my full LinkedIn profile to show on the about page for a bio/resume page.
Styling is nice and elegant that comes along with it, nice default style that uses a bit of the linkedin feel.
I found some main typography styles from my theme did not cascade into the markup due to lack of using “p” tags within the content for the plugin.

It does exactly what I need it to! And easily! Great communication with author as well! Thanks!

This plugin doesn’t work as a hands-free plugin.
You need to be a developer registered on the Linkedin Developer site.
This needs to be part of the plugin information.

Installation is a breeze because all you need to do is copy the needed short code after you’ve made the LinkedIn app. Works with 3.5.1.
A suggestion would be to be able to change the color of the recommendations but other then that. Great little plugin!

Just tested the plugin.
Works fine as described, but could be expanded:
* should work in widgets (mainly the recommendations rotator)
* should allow profile fields to be selected at the shortcode level, so that multiple shortcodes zith different content can be included.
E.g. :
instead of [li_profile]
use [li_profile fields=”skills,specialties,positions”] or [li_profile fields=”educations,positions”] and so on…
Thx!

Great work Claude Vedovini!
I voted and favorited for this! But, like the previous comment, support for different LinkedIn Profile languages is most appreciated. I checked the workaround on the forum adding other language prefixes like en-US, but couldn’t find the code snippet in question. Assume you are already working on it? ?? Thumbs up!

Works great!
Could add support to add different LinkedIn profiles on different pages.
