I just try the plugin & I got this “notice” right after activation :

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /path/to/wp-content/plugins/wp-initials-avatar/wordpress-initials-avatar.php on line 98

Info :
– PHP 7.3 – with all debugging enabled
– Apache 2.4
– WordPress 5.2.3 – with all debugging enabled

The shown initials in the widget area are wrong, see attached url. On the right site (widget area) The initials of “Jos Molenaar” are wrong: “IN”, and in the comment section they are okay: “JM”.
How to fix this?

Seemed to be working fine with WordPress version 4.9.8 but logs the following warning in the error log many times per second:

Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home/mydomain.com/wp-includes/class-wp-user.php on line 208

I do very much appreciate you making the plugin available for free but I cannot leave it activated else my error log would continue to grow non-stop.

I wanted to try the plugin since the phpBB version is already working on my forums. However, I stumbled upon three issues:

• There’s no option for uppercase/lowercase
• There’s no option for rounded avatars
• All avatars generated have the letters “IN” as the link generated does not contain the actual user name but always the word “initials”. Maybe the problem is that it’s not users having posted a comment, but only guests. I think the plugin should return the commentators name, not the user name. Maybe that’s the reason.

Please can you have a look and fix this. I’m using it with wpDiscuz comments system.
