In the image section, I entered the actual image URL instead of {imageurl[1]}. This is what is reflected.
If you specify {imageurl[1]}, it may or may not be reflected. In most cases, it is not reflected.

I’d like to use WP Import Export to assign items from a spreadsheet to metafields (custom fields) and create and post multiple articles at once.
However, the names (slugs) I set for the metafields don’t appear in the custom field items. (I’m using the free version.) I’d like to know if Jet’s metafields are only available in the paid version, or are Jet Engine’s metafields not available?
I don’t want to import everything in WP.
I just want to post the information from the spreadsheet in bulk. In that case, I need to assign items to metafields.

I can get everything to import just fine, however this URL gets updated daily and your Cron job seems to download the original file and just keeps reimporting the saved file from when I set up the import cron job originally. Is there a way for your system to reference an up-to-date file with the cron job? I paid for the plugin for this specific feature and not sure why you’d schedule a cron job to reimport the same old file over and over again?
I imported 2,124 posts and the importer said all was successful, but only 840 posts show in the post list as drafts.
I says there are 2,122 posts, but there is only 1 published (Hello World) and 840 drafts. Where are the others? There should only be 70 drafts. ??

I think I must be misunderstanding how to use this plugin.
I’m exporting from one WordPress site using this plugin, then importing into another WordPress site under development.
The import process shows all of the correct fields in the preview, but no matter what I do it says it can’t create records because various required fields in the import .csv are “empty.”
Am I missing a step, cannot just export from one site then import into another using the same plugin?

My approach was to upload the images to the main image folder in wordpress, then refer to this as a full url in my import file (selecting the external url option)
Unfortunately this does not work for category images. I follow the same process but images are not loaded to category level. Could anyone explain why this doesn’t work in this case please?

My imports keep duplicating posts even though I checked off “Import new items only & Skip Existing Items” — and there were absolutely no posts in the database. I was importing into a brand new WP installation.

]]>This plugin helps, but creating robots.txt on the server and it prohibit other plugins to customize robots.txt . For example, you cannot even add sitemap: record.
In calss-wpie-general.php, this tries to add filter to robots_txt hook, but it’s still in is_admin() block. That means no effect.
To stop generating robots.txt, you need removing hook.

I have two xlsx files with the content with 2 languages.
I could successfully import the first language, However due to lack of documents, I am not sure how the mapping works for the second language. I could see the following with no problem. But no matter what I put into the polylang section where says Search original language Translation Based On ( Connection for other Languages ) `original language title, the import always create new posts instead of mapping the content in the other language. Please help.
Hi I would like to export and import translated polylang pages.
Following the documentation it would be possible with the pro version, you also have a demo site what really helps to review how the pro features would work, but I have been doing some tests on this demo site and it seems the polylang option is not working.
This is the work flow I followed on the demo site.
First I created some translated pages and did an export of these pages. Then I deleted some of these translated pages and imported these pages again from the previous exported file. The pages are imported but the polylang languages are not the correct languages and they are not being linked. I am not able to find any information on the steps for the polylang export/import, but there is some information on WPML. The WPML seems to have an extra tab, but for the Polylang it is not there.
Could you give me some more detailed information on how this would work? It would be really helpfull before purcharsing the pro version, thanks!

Is it possible to import XML attributes?
For instance this node has several attributes but I want the url attribute. {enclosure[1]} doesn’t return anything as the XML node doesn’t have any value, it just has these attributes. I tried {enclosure[1]}.url but no dice.
I just got to the point in my database migration to WordPress of doing comments and discovered that your import into comments option doesn’t include the ability to import the comment user_id.
I had already gone to the trouble of importing users and then exporting a mapping from old user id’s to the new WordPress ones but unfortunately your interface doesn’t appear include the comment user_id as a target field to update when I go import my remapped comments table.
I guess I’ll have to find another way to do that…
