The “Automatic Update” option checkbox on this plugin seems to be forcing not only an automatic update of the plugin but also an automatic update of WordPress itself.
I have several installs of WordPress 3.7 but when we installed this plugin on two installs those installs only updated automatically to WordPress 3.7.1
Is anyone else seeing this?
]]>Simple question
If I install this plugin, will I lose page views from a different plugin i’ve been using? will everything reset to zero?
Thanks
]]>Hello,
I just downloaded this plugin. I was looking for a simple counter like this for a long time.
I was so excited, but when I saw that it counts every refresh as “2” hits, I decided to take a look at the settings, unfortunatelly when I click “WP hit counter” from the “Settings” menu,
I get;
Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File ..... is not within the allowed path(s): .... /wp-hit-counter/settings_wphcu.php on line 56
for every *.*gif that is provided.
The 56th line is this;
if(is_dir($path . $filename . "/")) {
Is there a way that I can fix the double count or the line 56 error?
]]>My developer just redesigned my site and left off the counter, I installed Hit Counter but I’ve lost all the hits on previous counter.
Any way to add these to counter?
Thanks

Hey, so I was just wondering as to whether or not the hit counter only counts desktop hits, or if it registers the hits made on mobile devices?
Thanks
]]>I am getting this error showing just above the hit counter – ‘Notice: Undefined index: title in /homepages/18/d109823931/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-hit-counter/image.php on line 159’ on my blog at https://www.sharons.org.uk/. I have the counter in a sidebar with ‘Hit Counter provided by orange county property management’ beneath it, as I believe in giving credit where its due.
I think that this is a security risk as it shows the outline of your wordpress setup, which directories are which, so I am considering removing the counter as it does pose a problem.
]]>If I check “Count only unique visitors”, the counter stop counter for multisite. but for non-multisite, it works well.
who can fix this problem?
the digits appear in reverse order. If I have 7 visitors it will display
7000
not bad for my first launch ??
]]>I am getting this error listed in hundreds of lines
and have no idea what it is about

]]>Hi
I would like to be able to fine tune the position the counter.
Does anyone know how to do it?
Hox do I stop the counter counting double
]]>Updating the configuration options (digit type, etc) resets the counter back to 1.
The “Set hit counter to” field shouldn’t be taken into account if it’s empty, or maybe it could be automatically set to the current counter value whenever we enter the config page.
]]>Hello,
I like to try your plugin but I can’t activate. Everything seams fine, but ones I hit the activate button it don’t work !
What can you do ?
Kind regards,
