Hi I added the plugin today, did the setup and changed accordingly. It keeps sending me an email in regards to a new login every time I log into the site. Then I find the settings are empty again.

Not sure why they keep changing and why I keep getting emails every login.

Unable to disable custom admin URL

I had created a custom login URL, which is now causing problems – deactivating the plugin doesn’t fix it. And any time I try access any page of admin, I am redirected to a disabled page (despite the URL structure being correct). I have to manually write the URL structure again, then it redirects and I can access it. I want to disable everything WP hide does but due to this admin url redirect issue, I cannot do anything at all in the plugin settings and deactivating doesn’t fix it. Help!

my site’s login structure is: domain.com/newwebsite/wp-login.php, because the wp installation is in a subfolder (newwebsite).

Hello there!

I noticed that you added Google Captcha to your plugin features. I really like!
Since on some websites I already have Captcha active via other plugins (eg. Contact Form 7) I’d like to know how to handle your new feature.
May I activate both Captchas for increase security or is it not necessary? May your Captcha generate conflict if another Captcha is active on the same website?

This problem as you said can be solved by adding the file manually to /wp-content/mu-plugins/

But it doesnt take away the notification message on wordpress dashboard.. should i be worried if the message is still there after manually adding it? or i should let it slide?

i remember building a WordPress site once, and when i used this plugin, to together with nextend social login pro. What happened was, i dont the problem Nextend Social Login?detected that your login url changed. You must update the Oauth redirect URIs in the related social applications.

Problem was, the instructions given had already been done and the login url that had changed, was already in my google and twitter apps…

Hi,

Just installed and set up and so far very impressed – however i notice looking at the code

The plugin doesnt hide references to itself (quite self-defeating)
The one plugin which proliferated every corner of WordPress; Elementor – a search of the source finds over 1300 instances of the name ‘elementor’
Ive overwritten the plugin in the plugin section successfully, that can be seen but how do we replace occurances in lowercase in paths and urls. We need a simple re-write to replace this word as its everywhere and a dead giveaway.

Any ideas or am i missing some detail somewhere?

UPDATE: Ok, just read the pro version info and it appears its a feature of pro – but does pro also hide this plugin also??

Hello

I know you worked on that before but I cannot solve the javascript problem between WP Hide and Elementor. Ex: on my live site theportwebdesign.com I had to replace the top menu because the old one did not display the dropdowns anymore – new one works. Now the last thing to fix on the live site is the tabs – in the middle of the page below “Optimize Your Website Performance” – the box/tabs on the left don’t open anymore. All these little problems come with either dropdowns – or the gallery that I also had to change and those tabs – all the tab options I tried using other elementor plugin – none of them open. I also tried all options in the post processing section of WP Hide and all works only if I put javascript on NO. But then I have still 1000 elementor instances in the code!! Purpose of Wp Hide is to hide elementor horrible code.

The support for pro kind of let me down when they could not fix it so I am trying again here to get your help. Thank you so much

Please make sure this location is writable so the plugin create the required file, or manually copy the wp-hide-security-enhancer-pro/mu-loader/wp-hide-loader.php to mu-plugins/wp-hide-loader.php.

I am working on a new to me site that has this error message across the screen in the admin.

I checked the folder and the file exists. mu-plugins/wp-hide-loader.php

How can I fix this issue?

Also what is the latest version of the PRO plugin? We currently have version 6.6 installed. Does it need to be updated? It has an active license but it is not reporting the need to be udpated.

When adding a “media text” block if we want to choose an image from the media library it is empty….
The WordPress media library does not display images with the module activated but if I deactivate it it works.

However, some plugins, like “perfmatters”, use their own caching systems that still reference the “/wp-content/” folder path (e.g., “/wp-content/cache/perfmatters/font/filename.woff”). Having an issue that seems to have only started recently that doesn’t allow me to save any new values entered into the hide/rewrite URL’s – anyone else having this issue or any idea what the cause might be?

I am using WP Rocket. I’ve tested the other sections within WP Hide and I can save the values, it just seems to be within the “Plugins” it’s not writing my values, or it’s writing the values but just not displaying the value in the field that I’ve entered. The values I had entered before the update show up but since the update any new additions or changes to existing values don’t update in the relevant field.

When the plugin is enabled, Site Kit by Google is not able to gather the data and fill the report in the dashboard.
and if I change the login url google will then not be able to connect in case I did not connect it before.

Hello Guys, when we updating to 6.7.5 this breaks the Print Invoices / Packing Lists plugin as the pop up modal window will not load at all. This pop up seems to be blocked and yet to find out why, what controls this in your plugin for admin use?

This functioned smoothly in the prior version 6.7.2.17, and it required significant effort to confirm that the issue was specifically linked to this plugin after meticulously isolating all other potential factors.

Since version 2.3.8.1, plugins like “Webba booking”, “Text Editor” and “Sliced ??Invoices” no longer work correctly.

Indeed, the requests sent by these plugins remain blocked, indicating the following error: [HTTP/2 422 Unprocessable Entity 272ms]. From file name : /api/plugion/v1/save-properties.

After deactivating your awesome plugin, everything works again. So we were wondering if you could explore the latest WP Hide & Security Enhancer updates and see what happened?

Problem with plugin updates when using a custom address for /wp-admin/

Hello,

I found an issue in version 2.3.8.1 that breaks plugin and theme updates when updating them manually via the “Dashboard -> Updates” page. When a plugin with version 2.3.8.1 is active, other plugins are unable to update via (“Dashboard -> Updates”), although a message is shown about the supposedly successful update. See screenshot. But when checking for updates again in the Plugins section or in (“Dashboard -> Updates”) – the updates are displayed again. The permissions on all folders and files are correct.

I’ve checked this on 7 different sites and 2 different hosting, including with a clean WordPress installation (WP 6.4.3 + WP Hide 2.3.8.1 only).

The problem occurs under the following conditions
– when your plugin is active
– custom address for /wp-admin/ and wp-login.php are used on the site in the settings of your plugin.
