When installing font awesome on godaddy wordpress site, I get the following error:

When trying to load Font Awesome, the plugin’s configuration was invalid. Try deactivating, uninstalling, and re-activating the Font Awesome plugin.

Anyone have any insight?

I like that this plugin hosts FontAwesome on the server and does not load it from a CDN.

I am trying to use an icon that was introduced in 6.1.2. Could you please update FontAwesome to the latest version (6.2.1)?

*UPDATE: I think it works. I had to put font-weight: 900. It was 200 before.

How do I add HTML to use a Font Awesome icon (not short code)?

i checked my website with google pagespeed insights and it tells me, that the font awesome css sheet takes a lot of time. I would like to use ASYNC or DEFER to load it at a more unimportant time. Does anyone has an idea how to do that?

Plugin works great, but…. I can’t get many of the icons I ned to display.
As I’m doing a food menu, I need things like:
Hot Chilli Pepper – [wpfa icon=pepper-hot] does not show
Vegan – [wpfa icon=leaf] OK
Vegetarian – [wpfa icon=cheese] does not show
Nuts – [wpfa icon=nut] Does not exist as an icon?

Do you have any solutions?

With the latest WordPress update the plugin stopped working and icons are not rendering propperly.

Are you planning update the plugin?

The wp-font-awesome/font-awesome/css/fontawesome-all.min.css file in 1.7.5 has references to the wrong path in the @font-face rules. The path is set to:

../fonts/webfonts/fa-brands-400.eot

instead of:

../fonts/fa-brands-400.eot

This obviously breaks the rendering of icons.

The icon fas fa-user works but fas fa-toolbox doesn’t? Any ideas?! What am I doing wrong?

I cannot use ::before or ::after to add font awesome 5 icons and it is incredibly frustrating. I copied the EXACT css that this plugin uses and applied it to an element using ::after. It will not work at all. This seems like a major oversight – why would you create a plugin to add font awesome icons if the most basic way to add them via css doesn’t work?

I need to be able to add icons via ::before and ::after selectors. Please advise.

For some reason when I try to add facebook-f icon (F letter only) it is displayed as regular facebook icon (in a square).

Any ideas why and how to fix this?
