also i would like to show twitter replies to my blog post in the comment section as well.

I am trying with IE FF and Chrome? I know this is not your plugins fault but could you give some help on this issue?

I am trying to use WP FB Comments Plugin.
I did following
1.Installed this plugin.
2. Created a facebook app , setting App Domains url and Site URL
3. Created a facebook fan page
4. Filled the settings form /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-fb-comments with Application id , API key, Application secret, Facebook Page id
5. Clicked Save change
6. Clicked Connect Admin FBacc
7. Gave permission to this application ( click Allow )
Then the process was redirected and I got this following error.

I know that the plugin is setup correctly because it has worked as expected in the past but lately (I think possibly after facebook enabled timeline) it has stopped pulling the wordpress post excerpt to facebook. It still pulls the image, title and first word or two from article but will not pull an excerpt. I know it isn’t a length of content problem as I have other excerpts that were pulled previously that are much longer. Any ideas on why this might happen?

is it possible to add a feature to show the photo on facebook instead of just sharing the link? so that when i publish a blog post, it will take the blog post photo and add it on my facebook page and when a reader clicks on the photo, they can view it directly on facebook?

]]>I have wp-fb-comments working on another blog, so this should have worked…
The only difference is the Fan Page was already existing, and then I created an App for this plugin to work. That shouldn’t cause a problem, should it?
In the wp-fb-comments config page, I entered the App ID, API Key (same code as App ID) and Secret. I also entered the Page ID from the existing page.
On the App developers page, I have played around with putting the actual website URL and the ‘fb CANVAS URL’ which is generated (?) by the plugin. I have put these both in the ‘Site URL’ and ‘Canvas URL’ fields.
When I then press ‘Connect Admin FBacc’, I get the following error: Fatal error: Uncaught OAuthException: Error validating application. thrown in /Volumes/Data/Domeinen/therightjuice.net/infotherightjuicenet/Sites/wp-content/plugins/wp-fb-comments/facebook.php on line 543

]]>Will this plug in work if I post the link manually without letting the plug in post to my wall? For instance; I like to type a little line or two about the link when I post it to my Facebook page. Then people usually leave comments on the Facebook page and on the wordpress site itself. I want for people who leave comments on Facebook to have their comments merge with the blog post on wordpress, and vis versa…so it’s like one conversation. (I was also curious how quick the comments are merged. If someone leave a comment at say 1 pm on Facebook, how long will it take to show up in wordpress, and vis versa?)
Also if I post the link twice at different times of the day, will it merge both instances to the blog?
One last thing, does this plug in only work with new posts published once the plug in was installed, or can it go retroactively back and merge Facebook conversations on past posts?

Way too many configuration settings on the new version. Most of which I have no idea what they mean or how it affects the layout of my blog. Two thumbs down on this one.

How can I stop this?

I’d like to use this plugin. But much of my content is evergreen and while I create new posts 3 times a week, I post links to older posts on the other 4 days. Will this plugin allow me to synch the comments on those posts too, or only on new posts that it pushes to FB?
Also, I’ve had a lot of problems with items posted via RSS Graffiti and PostCron not going out to fans’ NewsFeeds since the end of September and FB’s latest “upgrade” — what about the posts that this plugin is pushing to FB?
Have you gotten it so that it’s pushing the OG tags for the featured image and excerpt?

We started using the plugin around 2 days ago, it seems to push stories “sharing posts” successfully,
it does not however push comments in realtime or pull comments. there was only one incident in the log of it trying to push a comment

Although that error is most likely due to the fact that I edited that story’s submission time an therefore it could be expected for it to change the story id.

Maybe a template incompatibility issue – I’ve followed the instructions to the letter (and even tried stuff I wasn’t supposed to) still doesn’t work.
