Can anyone confirm this plugin still works for 3.5.2? Currently it’s having no effect on my links, though I could be doing something wrong.
Thanks

Am I doing something wrong?

]]>Hi Cogmios,
I finally updated from .3 to .5, and ran into a major problem. Your plugin no longer works. The Settings option page no longer shows up, nor do any of the icons. I just reverted back to .3, but is there some update script i need to run to migrate?

]]>I’m working on version 0.51 that at least will support redirects. Meaning it will also pick up icons behind tiny-urls etc… though im having some problems getting it implemented for all cases.
You can see the latest code in the Trunk though further development on the redirects has to be done.
Current version 0.50 has one none blocking bug: in the table wpfavicon-2 you see that the return code (200,404 etc…) is not logged. Whatever. Will also be fixed in the next version.
]]>Hi, I get this message when activating the plugin:
Warning: set_time_limit(): Cannot set time limit due to system policy in /customers/superzero.org/superzero.org/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wp-favicons/includes/tld/class-database.php on line 13
How to resolve the problem?
]]>From the plugin creator:
the latest .7 version introduced probably some weird behaviour in the wpfavcions_uri table since I noticed that some URI’s had multiple entries.
I could not reproduce this on my local host but I did notice it on my weblog (https://edward.de.leau.net). This is a pretty big blog with 10.000+ postings.
Anyway for safety i turned the cache off in 0.4.8. You can delete the current cache via the regular “clean cache” option.
I hope to have found the issue and resolve it in 0.4.9. but that will be later next week.
Yes… its a beta.
cheers!
]]>Hi, enabling the Plugin (version 0.3) after updating WP to 3.1 left my dashboard unusable – I’m using WP as a multisite-installation.
additionally: I had to adjust access-rights of directories created by the plugin when running under 3.0.5 (or rather adjusted the according create-mask from 700 to 755)
Sorry for my bad english ??
]]>Great little plugin!
However, quite a few Favicons don’t “mesh” well with certain themes (namely, those that don’t have a white background).
Although it might be too much to ask to have some sort of “tint” on each favicon, would it be possible to have the plugin load a locally-stored copy of a favicon with certain URLs?
(That way someone could “tint” the cache of favicons and force the plugin to use those)
