I have been searching for over a week for a plugin like this. Its awesome!

Be sure to dig into the individual settings to ensure you can include things like tags, but also.. portfolio tags! I just had a few minutes where I thought it was not working until I clicked the right settings, then bam, totally fine. Saved me $100 bucks from buying WP Search. This integrates seamlessly with the standard WordPress search, and in my case I am using the Avada theme. I could not be happier to have all this power and no coding!

Absolutely love it when we look for a plugin, find one, it’s simple to use and it works straight away.
Great work guys!

I still didn’t understand how to use it. Didn’t find any documentation.

I should have the option to be able to change the text of the button, as well as if I want an icon or text, and be able to select at least 2 or 3 types of icons. including the color too. Having to do extra things is very tedious. You should add at least one filter on the button to be able to change it by code.

Hello, I have implemented your browser and it works fine.
Now how do I put it in the web menu?
On the other hand, how do I change the colors and translate the texts and the search button?
Thank you

After testing a bunch of plugins, WP Extended Search finally works for indexing and showing results for Tags, Content, Titles, etc. Other plugins (even the ones that say they do this) never worked at all. I tested this by just typing in a tag to see and it finally showed my results!

Been working with this plugin for about a month and it is just what I needed. You can tweak your search areas and results with ease.
Thanks for sharing with the community.

This plugin solved all my Woocommerce search functionality issues. AMAZING.

This simple, easy to use yet powerful plug-in should have been a feature of WP instead of being an add-on. Thanks for creating this!

Just wanted to extend the search for custom Taxonomies and it works flawlessly.
Thank you for making the plugin, really helps.

This is exactly what I needed. I couldn’t find anything else that extends default search as easily and brilliantly as this plugin. Thank you – this is awesome!

This is an awesome plugin. Gives the most-needed option to refine your website search functionality.
I have used it with Oxygen Builder.
Thanks!

Solved my problem with custom post types and custom fields
]]>Rating: 4 stars
It’s good and can be made to work very simply and easily with just the Shortcode. I have tested it out on a couple of sites and the search calls up the relevant posts and pages, however, there is a site where nothing is found. And before you say deactivate other plugins, themes etc – this has been done over and over again. I’m now onto the theme creators.
But I wonder if I need to add the php function as well?

Well configured on-site search is absolutely crucial to the user experience, and with WP Extended Search you can configure the native WordPress search to your hearts content. If you use WooCommerce, you can include (or exclude) product category, tags etc, and if you add other custom post types or fields, there is no way around fine-tuning search to include those fields. The greatest thing about WP Extended Search is that it tweaks the native search functionality, and it’s thus compatible with whatever theme it’s used in combination with.

Thank you for this plugin! I use it for our sports club web page (WP 5.7). You may have an idea: How can I search with an “and not” condition?

Excellent work with this plugin! Light, fast and highly customizable.
The version 2.0.1 of WPES it’s compatible with Crocoblock’s JetEngine [2.6.2] custom post metafields, and the live ajax refresh of Listing Grids through the Search Filter widget from JetSmartFilters [2.1.0], that uses the native WordPress search option — All of that after a very little tweak on the “class-wpes-admin” document on this plugin!
All my custom fields from JetEngine starts with a “_”:
_ubicacion (_location),
_nombre-autor-a (_author-name),
_contenidos (_contents),
etc. (7 more).
So, when the document “class-wpes-admin” from WPES says:
$wp_es_fields = $wpdb->get_results( apply_filters( ‘wpes_meta_keys_query’, “select DISTINCT meta_key from $wpdb->postmeta where meta_key NOT LIKE ‘\_%’ ORDER BY meta_key ASC” ) );
I just changed 1 character: “where meta_key NOT LIKE ‘\%'” [erased underscore].
It listed all the custom fields that I was looking for. On the downside, it also threw me a bunch of results (between 30-40 new checkboxes) that are present in the WordPress database (wp_postmeta). I had to select the corresponding fields using Ctrl + F for a faster search.
After testing with others plugins, this was the only search plugin that let me accomplish the custom meta field ajax live filtering directly on the Listing Grids from JetEngine (and not only on Archives), without being overriden by the JetSmartFilters plugin (that forces a search only on titles if you select the “native wordpress search” option; if you select “by custom field”, it only allows you to enter one meta key; no more than that).
Sorry for the extension of this review. I didn’t post this on support, because… There’s no problem with your plugin. It’s great! ??
Greetings from Chile!
PD. Sorry if my english is bad =).

I do have over 12K posts to look through, that’s true, but I was hopeless in seeing that my site took over 2 minutes to show results. With WPES results are showed in max 2 secs! A true life saver!

I need a plugin that would search tags. I tried some other plugins and could not get them to work. Installed this one and selected search tags and it instantly worked. I would highly recommend this plugin.

Exactly what I was looking for. Simple, just install it and configure the settings, really easy. Before the search bar didn′t find almost anything, and now everything shows up. Perfect.

I guys, i am not sure how to start using the search plugin since i do not see the search bar. So should i add it somehow to the admin site to the header or is it the search option on the left side menu?? Thank you.
